Their power came from seeking it, that's how people are the ones that gain and gain it. I also feel as if it was the Bill Clinton personality that helped them so much when he was the Gov? (I think) in Arkansas, that was the role that gave him so much power and set him up on a scale that was so high, plus he was able to wine and dine deals with people with this power that just furthed him.

At first, his wife leeched off of his power but then she was put into positions of power which furthed herself as well.

The only reason these people stay in power is because companies and governments know that they can be bought and paid for, and probably the only reason the DNC wanted them in cause they knew they'd be controlling the country. Then again, I guess the American people noticed this and didn't go through with electing her to keep doing this and furthing the most corrupt and shitty political dynasties in history.
