Hypothetical simulation...

MtGox database is corrupted.  Will have to rely on backup data, that means that every transactions made since yesterday is gone.  This will not change the current amount of Bitcoins or dollars in your account, but from a BTC price point of view, yesterday at backup time the price was at 112$/BTC, so that's the price BTC will be when databases are restored.  Hopefully the DB will be restored today...

So, what do you think Gox answer will be?

My account history is accessible again, and it is current up to my last transaction at 7:32 PM EST 04/02/13. I'm thinking their database is ok. Hopefully, and likely, just a massive DDoS. Now if the bitcoins I sent this morning would show in my account that would be great...

Yes it would be VERY great .. My btc funding also not show up in account.
Can they get lost that way ?

Yes it would be VERY great .. My btc funding also not show up in account.

Anything is possible, but they are probably not lost. This is not the first time this has happened. On high volume and engine lag, their bitcoin deposits tend to get delayed. This is a long delay though...
