How lucky are you to have that kind of machine in your area. Well we and my fellow companions in cryptoworld in our country will going to experience that soon but what we had a similar situation like that but we need to use an escrow first before we can withdraw to atm. But one coin aside from bitcoin promised us a new feature that soon we will enjoy in any atms around the globe using a visa card.

Saw on the Bitcoin atm maps there was a new ATM at a gas station nearby.
http://bitcoinbarrel.com/bitcoin-atm-map/

So I went to check it out:

The clerk said they've only had it a week and I was the first person to use it. I had to enter my phone number and get a confirmation code, and after that just insert cash. It even printed out a receipt.

I've only used an ATM a few times with this being the first big ATM. Before that they were the smaller Skyhook machines which were still pretty cool.

Anyone else seen Bitcoin ATM in random places?
That is awesome!!!  Where are you located at.  Can  you take a picture of the receipt that it gave you.  This would be very interesting to take a look at.  I have not seen nothing like this in my area yet, but I am hoping it is coming soon.

Bitcoin ATM even in the picture looks really nice and will love to see similar in few local merchants here however there seems no any merchants have it installed or any public bitcoin ATM is available here may be i have to wait for few more years and may encounter one of them when i will be visiting USA.

Yes, I saw it in one caffe in my country. It is not very busy because people stil don't have that habit to use Bitcoin ATMs. But it's nice to know they are around if you need them. Personaly haven't tried it yet because it's not on my way so it's not very convenient. Generala Bitcoin ATMs should be more advertised so that people hear of them.

Super cool!  So glad to see this and thanks for sharing.  I hope to see more showing up, it would be very convenient and it also spreads awareness of Bitcoin to people passing by the machine.

I love Bitcoin

It's not super cool friends!! , But it is remarkable. because this could give a free ad or introduction for those who have yet to know the bitcoin, so after they know the bitcoin will surely use them and they will introduce or innovating for growth bitcoin. In my country there's been a cash machine just that for certain areas

For the first time i am seeing bitcoin ATM.  You are very fortunate that you have bitcoin atm in your country. But does it provide full secure transaction or data passes through third party. Because i am very conscious about my money and I first want to know how secure my transaction is. Well at least you had experienced bitcoin atm.
Lol a bitcoin atm i did not know that was here yet but now i know and that is really nice because when that is over here there will happen allot with th ebitcoin for sure
and that is nice for the future of th ebitcoin off course.

Looks a like atm and working with bitcoin sounds great, but there are some questions now, does the withdraw of bitcoin its processed instant or they request a waiting period to cashout? And about the fees taken into the purchase or sell of bitcoin at those, i do remember people complaint about those fees.

While it's nice to see that Bitcoin ATM's are still around I think the lack of privacy when using them is a serious problem. Most of the machines are requiring some kind of ID, biometrics and/or phone number, which is not only problematic in terms of privacy / security but also makes using these ATM's much more complicated and time consuming.

It would be a real step forward if ATM's would directly dispense BTC without the whole surveillance drama. I don't see why this should be a problem - at least for smaller amounts. Two-way ATM's are not needed anyway, because only dumb people will buy fiat trash money using BTC.

It would be even more interesting, if said gas station would allow purchasing gas for BTC. I remember a video a while back of a guy that had developed a gas station pumping system designed for BTC payments.

As for weird spots,I got off a transit train in the dowtown core and caught a bitcoin atm stuck in the corner that was buy only. Couple months later I thought I would give it a shot and the security guard had no clue they had one or where it went,so I reverted back to the old spot.
Was trying to explain bitcoin to the security guard well 8 cops lingered around giving me funny looks as there was a alert on bombs that day if I recall right. Cut the conversation short when I noticed they where taking a little more interest in me. Cheesy

I would like to know what fees you paid for using this particular ATM because I have heard some horror stories of random ATM's jacking up the fees so high they are basically ripping customers off. I guess this one being operated by gas station staff would be priced in the normal margins.

That's great news! It would be very nice to have an ATM machine in my country. We don't have a single one and the reason being that ATM machines can only be owned and operated by licensed Banks (either private banks or Government banks) and requires approval from the Reserve Bank. I'm sure it was a nice experience withdrawing some Bitcoins using the ATM. How much was the price including charges?

Pretty cool. Nice to see more and more Bitcoin ATMs popping up. We have 4 BTC ATMs in my area Dallas, Tx according to a bitcoin atm map.

OP, could you kindly give a step by step of the process/your experience as there seems to be some questions about it here in the thread. One question I have is, did you have to register an account and/or create a wallet on that particular btc atm company's website?

Anyone else seen Bitcoin ATM in random places?

I just posted in other thread that we have also Bitcoin ATM here in my country which is just few kilometers away from my work office. It was established last year and I don't know if it's still there. Haven't seen it personally nor tried it. Because there was a topic about bitcoin ATM today, I want to visit the location of the said machine after Halloween break since we have lots of works this week.

The map is updated automatically, but the widget was definitely outdated. Fixed  Cheesy Thanks for pointing that out.
