Used a Bitcoin ATM in a gas station today

For the first time i am seeing bitcoin ATM.  You are very fortunate that you have bitcoin atm in your country. But does it provide full secure transaction or data passes through third party. Because i am very conscious about my money and I first want to know how secure my transaction is. Well at least you had experienced bitcoin atm.

Bitcoin ATMs are quite secure. I haven’t heard of any problems with the transaction. Personally, I haven’t experienced any problems either. My transactions have all been secure and confirmed. I don’t think it will be any different for you if you use one.

14% fee (in my city) is just too high though.

I have never seen a Bitcoin ATM in random places, but I think it's understandable why they are appearing at such. To place an ATM in a place like Central Railway Station or in an Airport is a hard thing to arrange due to high costs etc. so people are placing them were they can afford.

Where are you form?
Here in Serbia, we have 2-3 bitcoin atms but just for buying btc :/ and one restaurant where you can pay with btc and I;m thinking on taking my girlfriend there and, ofcourse, pay with bitcoins. I want to get that feeling on fulfilment. But I'd give it a year or two here to recieve an ATM where I can withdraw cash from.

You have bitcoin atm on gas station, great! In some countries bitcoin is spreading much faster, I can just dream about something like this to happen in my country.
For now in my country there 2 ATMs, and they are placed in Belgrade capitol city. They will come eventually, and not just here, I mean in all world. Sooner or later there will be atms everywhere, bitcoin ATMs of course.

In our country people were not much aware about the bitcoin existence. So right now its hard to find bitcoin ATM's around my locality. Traced Bitcoin Atm but haven't got the chance to use it.

I checked ot that map and I'm quite surprised that there are so many in the US.

I think that in my country (Belgium), there are only around 3 or 4, wish we had one in every city at least.

Ok so a few things. 5% is actually a really good fee for a bitcoin atm. I was really surprised whenever you said that. The 7% fee to sell them, not so much. I would rather sell bitcoins at spot price pretty much anywhere else. Still, buying is great.

I hope more people use it than just you haha otherwise it matter not be there for very long! I wish my local gas station had a bitcoin atm or better yet accepted bitcoins as a payment method.

I also really hope that the government doesn't start trying to regulate these more with anti money laundering regulations and require ID. That would be a huge step backwards.

I saw this in other forum according to them this bitcoin ATM is in makati.. i want to go there just to test it and i think we are in new generation we are experience of adoption with bitcoin here in my country. and i hope they can increase more atm in philippines so that i dont need to go in other banks atm to withdraw bitcoins.

It's just along  Makati Avenue, Makati City. You are from Pasig right? Just 2 rides.

Nice information there. My workplace is on Jupiter St near the building of Diamond Fire store. Im not aware that there is a bitcoin ATM nearby here. Where is the exact location of this? Hopefully Makati Ave along Buendia but anyways if it's on the other side, still it's near. I want to check it and see the features of the machine.

Hopefully when I got there, there is people who is using it the moment I arrive. If ever that will happen, this is the first time in my whole bitcoin life that I meetup a stranger that knows bitcoin.

Oh I know the place but didn't stepped up yet on the street beside City Garden Hotel. Thanks for the information and sure I will post some pics if ever I will go there. I will not forget that honestly.

Saw on the Bitcoin atm maps there was a new ATM at a gas station nearby.

So I went to check it out:


The clerk said they've only had it a week and I was the first person to use it.
I had to enter my phone number and get a confirmation code, and after that just insert cash.

It even printed out a receipt:


I've only used an ATM a few times with this being the first big ATM. Before that they were the smaller Skyhook machines which were still pretty cool.

In reality i didnt  see  on actual  these  Bitcoin ATM machines  but i do heard about  it   that its  already available here  in  my country  but sadly its being  placed  on the capital  city which is  too far away from  our place. Its really nice to heard  thhis  kind of news where bitcoin adoption  grows really fast  and  the proof  is the existence of  these ATM on  random  places  on  some countries.
