Is the best investment holding your Bitcoin?

I would like to say hello first off, I am new to these forums as a member, but I do often enjoy browsing on my lunch break.

I see a lot of people like to invest in other coins in particular IPO/ICO. But with the volatility of Bitcoin is this not the best investment choice in itself? Keeping your Bitcoins which have a higher value and can fluctuate more? Especially with the recent halving, I can only see the value going up.

Do you see any need to invest elsewhere or is it greedy? What are your thoughts on this?

So many type of investment of bitcoin that really good for grow up our money but we have to be carefull with a scam. before You investing your money in ICO/IPO you have to search information about it, just make sure that is not a scam. holding Bitcoin in a long term is good but it take a long time to get profit, but if you have computer skill you can earn so many income in bitcoin by work for it.

very difficult to obtain such investment. especially when we are talking about bitcoin. but if you dare to take steps to invest in altcoin, then it would be quite beneficial to you. today many altcoin which has good prospects, you could be one part of the investment.

there's certainly money to be made in alts. I absolutely would not put anything into an ico. buy something on the open market, not hyped up junk. check how many icos were the second coming and now are less than the ico price.

let other saps take the initial hit and see what the market makes of something once it's properly for sale.

Holding bitcoins are for sure safest investment out there. There was a lot of scammers for example bee & smth, many pyramid schemes, many mining contracts scams etc. List is so long...
I wouldn't say gambling is investment either.

Holding bitcoin is great and safe investment and it is great for a long term investment, but alt coins also can be profitable and sometimes can be more profitable than bitcoin, but the price volatile make them into a quite risky investment and most people not suggested it because there were so many scam from alt coin developer, so if you don't want any big risk just hold on to bitcoin

Yes, you're right, the people realize if the project is the good way in this time for doubling or multiplying their money because the ico of ipo are offering new ideas and I think soon a lot of the altcoin are got their pump and stabilization into their high place.

I thought the people are already in the competition for growing their money more and more, I can't say if that is greedy everyone needs money every time.

Bitcoin officially exist as an experiment, so still it is "high risk" investment. Rest depends from your time, experience and skills.
If you are new in cryptoworld, the best option for you will be just buy&hold.

The main negative is that you would need a substantial amount of Bitcoin to earn considerable profit from holding. However, it is a a safe method to make profit, even if it is in small amounts.  I mean there is no chance of you losing it to scam. Be careful when investing in gambling sites and the like. There could be widespread scam. However, when you hold Bitcoin you would need to analyse trends in order to gain the maximum profit. If you don't you may even end up losing BTC.

I think so. If you don't have much knowledge about trading, hold BTCs is the best thing to do. Investiments would be good also, but almost all of them are scam schemes like ponzis and hyips. But if you don't want to just hold your coins on the wallet, you can try invest on casino bankroll. I'm trying this right now as a test. Don't know yet how profitable it will be.

You asked some good questions. Many people here like to trade this is true.
And depending on your skills you might wanna take the risk and speculate with some altcoins as well.
This is also a question of money of course. Not everybody has some affordable money to lose and therefore only puts a bit as an investment into Bitcoin.
And imo this could be enough when you are convinced that Bitcoin will rise much more in terms of it's value in the future.And I think we all here believe that. So yes trading/speculating with altcoins is mostly done to acumulate more Bitcoin. The overwhelming majority of altcoin in my personal opinion will not have any significance in the future. And a lot of them are scams or are highly manipulated by pump and dump groups, which of course increases your risk dealing with it.

Holding could definitely work but don't expect to make profit between one night and another , It's for the long term , the more you buy , the more profit you will make when It rise , so keep buying and holding in the same time. Investing in ICOs & IPOs wouldn't hurt either, just make sure to make some research and not invest anywhere , most of the time price become x2 or x3 (the lowest) after ICO so making profit shouldn't be hard , once you earn , sell again and get BTC instead.

rather than to invest on IPO/ICO, i am prefer to invest in bitcoin itself because we don't know how growth will be that IPO/ICO. its because i am too afraid to make investment right now and i have bad experience with this kind investment. so invest in bitcoin is more safe than any investment program out there and we can manage how much we should invest.

Yes I agree that holding bitcoins is the always best way of investment to get a profit by bitcoins. You need to spare little amount from your receiving every week's payment. But this will provide huge profit in future.

there is always not profitable to hold bitcoin for profit .
because if we buy bitcoin at high price and then this will result into the down of price of bitcoin ( probably more chance ) .
in this way yo will get loss .
but if you will buy at very low price then hold for long time then you will got profit .

it only depends on when you are going to buy bitcoin. for example if you look at the history there have been times that price has gone up in a bubble and if you have bought at those times you would be in a loss (eg $1100 and this year's $780)

but if you buy when the price is low or at least on the way up, then yes it is good and is going to go only up!

It is always adviced by many not to put all eggs in same basket and i also think same and will advise you to diversify your investment. Bitcoin price can go both way but uptrend is quite strong right now so many are speculating to see new all time high price which can happen but also be aware and updated regarding recent bitcoin related events so that you can sell your bitcoins when market is getting some heavy dumps.
