What's up with the chain today?

I have a transaction that has been sitting UNconfirmed for 2 hours already. I see the bitcoin at the address where it is supposed to go, but no confirmations. I've never had to wait 2 hours, but usually I'll at least see a couple confirmations in 20-30 minutes. Is there something going on today?

Did you include a fee to get miners to include it in the block chain? If not it is less attractive and may take longer. Just a guess.

I'm not sure whats up but I am seeing it too.  Transaction hours old, with a fee, and nothing.

Yes, on top of a weird day the fee was forgotten so the transaction is just hanging out there with all its friends that forgot to include fees also. I've already lost a little...not much, but I was planning on spending it right away. Keeping my fingers crossed on a positive ending on this. Thanks.
