Hi,

I have no idea why my transaction is taking too long to confirm. Anyone can let me know why? It has been almost 48 hours and still 0 confirmation.

Thanks.

The fee is too low, only 10 satoshis/byte. According to http://bitcoinfees.21.co/ the current recommended fee for fastest confirmations is 100 satoshis/byte.

I know the fee is too low but this is normal to me because I am the receiver not sender so I cannot set the transaction fee by myself. I did have similar transactions with this kind of low fee and all of them were confirmed in less than 24 hours.

Thanks.

Who sent the transaction for you? Ask them to give recommended fees.Otherwise it will take more days to get confirm.

Or you could try to contact with miners who can add your transaction on next block for a little tip.

I am new to this forum so I don't know any miner who could help me with some tip. Any miner can help me now?

Thanks.

Mine at Jonny's Pool

The problem is with the number of unconfirmed transactions on the network.  Yesterday there was a backlog of over 40k.  Right now, there are over 20k transactions waiting.

Since most mining pools pick the most profitable transactions to mine first, the higher the fee paid, the more likely the transaction to be included sooner.

The person who sent you that coin used the typically recommended fee of 0.0001BTC per kb.  Unfortunately, due to the backlog, the average transaction fee to get included in the next block is about 10 times that.

Your only recourse is to 1) wait or 2) contact the sender and see if they'll do a double spend.

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.
