Just realized the NH miner stopped using one of my cards. It continues mining, but dropped to 55S/s. Relaunching the miner gets the card going again. Weird. Also the NH miner throws so much output in the console it's barely readable.

I think zcash is in need of a proper mining software...maybe Claymore is on something? I'm not a huge fan of mining with dev fees, but I have to admit his miner always works great...

because i can't put all my GPUs on one pool with the CPUs . i was force to mine on Nice hash till they fix that crash in this miner https://github.com/Genoil/ZECMiner/tree/master/releases for AMD cards on windows once it's fixed that miner can mine on any pool with windows or you can run a Linux box and use this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1661160.0  i think it works on any pool .

my sol is at 100 or a little less  with 3 470  two r7 370 and one 280 and using two 8 core cpus at 6 cores . i have two 4 core CPU i need to ad better cooling to or  id be using them at 2 or 3 cores , cheap cooling on them .

@ Searing i should have listen to you to start with at least at  nicehash I can put all my CPUs and GPUs on one pool with one miner and not worry to much about bad pay outs or is the site adding it up right , i believe  zcash.flypool.org would but no working miners like nicehash has so it's nice hash for at least the next three or four days, let them sell it for me and credit my btc address , I'm not even gonna use nicehashes pool that pays out with ZEC , if i want a peace of the PIE .

Turn  a few cores on, i did a -h to see what helps or use overclocking software but that doesn't seem to do to much but does help some, ID say turn on some cores if your CPU can handle it and has good cooling , MY AMD 8 core  is set to use 6 cores with a R7 370 im doing close to 20 sol with  6 cores on, i was doing 9 to 10 sols with the GPU by it self. .

even the APU's cpu coers can jack it up a little, i found out but i have a really bad cooler on it so using two cores makes it over heat to much but did give that GPU a nice boost, i don't mean the APU video part .

if I read and understand how it works,I'm doing 19 sols

 Speed [300 sec]: 10.6867 I/s, 19.91 Sols/s

Hey guys anyone having trouble with mining or payouts can try buying hashrate at genesis mining. I got 0.00011433 ZEC payout for 0.85 h/s. Its not bad. At current BTC & ZEC rate, that payout will ROI you in 90 days.

hashrate is available now from 0.6 h/s for $29. you can also use my promo code to get 3% off. Promo code is in my sig. thanks

Also if any of you are using nicehash to mine, please use my referral. thanks Smiley

I myself couldn't get nicehash miner working Sad , currently mining with CPU on suprnova.

finally got my rigs running on suprnova

my desktop has 8320 @ 6 cores + a 7950 gives me 21.xx-23.xx Sols/s
another rig with 4x7970 gives me 37.xxSols/s

using 7 cores on my desktop cpu will gain another 3.xx Sols/s but the CPU fan will get louder

Still have another 2x7950 need to put the rig up and generate some heat for the winter Cheesy

Well, I spent 6-8 hours switching my ETH miners to ZEC.   Tried 3 miners before I got one working.

I thru 10 RX470's at NiceHash for 24 hours, getting about 150S/s, in between server crashes and the high payout threshold I got about 0.012 ZEC.  But I had to use three ZEC addresses, none of which meet the threshold so it will be 12.7 hours until I can cash out my fortune.

Which at current market price is about 14 Fookin dollars. Roll Eyes

Looks suspiciously like the same version http://zcash.flypool.org/ came up with - which was modified from the nicehash code which "borrowed" from previous code.

Lotta "incest" going on in the ZCash miner world right now - optimally leading to a good high-performance works on all miner for a change!

I´m mining ZEC in two ways:

1) I bought hashpower at Genesis Mining: 3 H/s for 145$. I bought it last thursday when ZEC was launching, but that was a little bit too late. So mining at Genesis has only started today. I have no idea, how much ZEC I will get for that hashrate...  Huh and looking forward for my first payment.

2) I also mine with my old Macbook pro (2010 modell).  I´m poolmining (CPU) at zmine.io with a hashrate of only 1 Sol/s  Shocked That´s not really much... So far I´ve earned 0.00003649 ZEC  Sad

Is there a way, to mine with GPU on my Macbook? Will I get a bigger Hashrate with GPU?

any ideas?

my r9 270x cards only get about 7sol/s each, and are a bit more profitable under ethereum. but from the 4xx card results i would have expected more like 10-15sol/ea

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

Lets say that I want to start from scratch to go and buy a system that could mine me the best zcash.

The specs will be?

Ram: Huh??
MotherBoard: Huh??
CPU: HuhHuh
GPU: HuhHuh?
Hard drive: I know could be at least 500GB(latest model)

And is there any official software/miner that I could install and only need to set username, password, zcash address and all good to go?

Seems like anyone developing any coin forgets to spend some time to make the mining process as easy as registering on a site Smiley

I think only the developers should build miners and wallets for all operating systems to avoid any trojan and malware being introduced for a coin that could potentially destroy the trust people need to have to get involved in any crypto project.

Start here maybe build your own system with there parts builder which i use from time to time to get a gen idea on prices and what i need then i go shopping were i live .

http://pcpartpicker.com/

nicehash bot miner does and takes less to use just enter inter your BTC address if you want it to pay in BTC or Zcash address i think it pays out in Zcash now .

https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=nhmintro you can set it to mine one coin or all it supports  but it only works on the pools they support and run.
