I wonder how long will it take for Bitcoin to be used for stock exchange. I mean for global and local  stock exchange. This is would be so good, like earn and buy without using any actual money. Though it's unregulated now, but I wonder if it's only a matter of time before it gets recognition?

What exactly are you talking about here?  The blockchain being used to record stock transactions, or ETFs based on bitcoin, or bitcoin businesses being listed on stock exchanges?  Something else?

These vague, poorly-conceived topics drive me insane.  And this in particular, because I do have an interest in all of the above and I have no idea exactly what OP is asking.  Is it too much to elaborate on these question-topics?  There's no limit to the amount of characters you can type here, as far as I know.

I think the OP is referring to buying and selling stocks with only BTC,
as compared to fiat and bank accounts.

OK.  There have been threads about that before.  My question is why would you buy stocks using bitcoin?  To me, that's like buying stocks with gold or buying bonds with stocks.  Bitcoin is an investment.  Why would anyone not use fiat to buy stocks?  Why would you use a cryptocurrency that is not stable to buy stocks?

Does that make any sense to you?  Why use some fly-by-night bitcoin 'broker' (which is what's going to end up happening) when you can use a legitimate broker with fiat?  Makes absolutely no sense to me.

Edit:  And this is a pet peeve of mine.  Someone other than OP has to come in and try to interpret what OP was asking in the first place.  Ask it right the first time, dammit.

It's still probably a long ways off to be honest, until the government starts to impose laws and taxes on it, it is unlikely that we are ever going to see Bitcoin used as a means of value transfer on a stock exchange. While it is technically possible to see Bitcoin be used, the actual and realistic means to get it to that point is far off. And it requires people beyond the community getting involved, a lot.

HI i was simply referring to whether stock exchange would allow Bitcoin for buying stocks, this would save a lot for me. For instance I can keep my local currency in hand for daily use and use this online money to buy and sell stocks in global foreign exchanges as well as local. So basically idea was to earn Bitcoin and buy stocks with it, no real money gone yet paid in real money.  But after reading your posts,  I realized I had not got all my facts correct. Thanks for pointing the errors, helps me learn a lot.

I've heard that some countries had idea to regulate Bitcoin as value papers, similar to shares, so that was something as a precondition for bitcoin to be traded on stock exchange.
But like oil, gold and other goods could be traded on different stock exchangers that also could the Bitcoin. Or I'm wrong?

I think about 20 up to 30 years later till bitcoin become payment method on around the world and it is just about time in my opinion. There are many people who making investment into bitcoins and the amount are very big.

as many of you i also wonder what op means. but he wants to be able to buy and sell stocks with bitcoin and without using actual money. so bitcoin is not actual money? why? why would you allow to do serious business with not-actual-money? and the regulation part sounds like you do not want to pay taxes. it will never be legal to trade stocks with bitcoin without paying taxes.

Actually this is already happening so you don't have to wait for that long term. All we have to wait i guess is the more and more country will adopt this kind of technology.

It's not a matter of time. I am sure it simply will not happen. Banks and other brokers that offer you the option of buying stocks, have to operate within the policies of the government and of course the given stock exchange itself. But mainly the governmental part plays a crucial role as to why it will most likely never happen.

But then again, I am sure that buying stocks with Bitcoin isn't really something many people here and in the outside world are waiting for. They much rather prefer to see more stores in their local area to open up for Bitcoin as it will allow them to actively spend their coins.

That being said, this doesn't mean that there will not be a certain site or service (perhaps a gambling site) that offers you the option of buying the virtual equivalent of stocks that is tied to a ratio of 1:1. In this case you will not actually own anything of course. And no, I'm not talking about binary websites. That's just gambling.

It has to be a Asian country for me to adopt this, though again it may take long or it may never happen as you all say. Usa has already ruled against Bitcoin so no chance seeing this happening there, but future is full of surprises Wait and watchn

Can I ask what company offers the service to buy stocks with bitcoins?
I just made a little google search, and the first thing that came up was bitbulls.
But honestly, I have read the FAQs and it sounds a little fishy to me. They don't retain transaction historys, require no ID documents or even personal data.

I don't think at this time legally any company does. This was a question for the future, currently as far I know it's is not legal to do this. The one you are referring has to be a scam, why else would they not require documentation and all.
