They are not similar unless traders do not know how to trade in the right way. I have witnessed many idiot traders can not do anything instead of destroying their own pocket. in my experience you shouldn't even be comparing trading and gambling with each other. and it is mostly a common mistake that people in bitcoin make (mostly on bitcointalk). you never see this in any other place. but around here there are many novice people with no experience that only take a look at the price and how it changes and since they can not see the reason behind the rise and falls they have to other choice but conclude it is random. but in fact none of it is random and it can be speculated nicely.

I agree that those people who aim for money in gambling does not have a decent capital to run a business or do trades.  But now due to the cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, this is no longer the reason because people can do trade even as low as 1 USD worth of Bitcoin.  The reason of these people is that they do not want to work hard to earn money instead they wanted to try their luck and win.

It would have been great if one just could consider gambling as an entertainment. I can't, I always pay attention to bets and whether I'm winning, although in general I play for fun. Moreover, I think trading can also be addictive and lead to huge money losses, it is really hard to make income there.
