The Friends of Satoshi + Crypto Imperator Founder Series Coin represents the creation of our organization. As stated from our website, Friends of Satoshi is a collective of content creators dedicated to sharing art, music, and culture. We empower creators of all sizes by helping to monetize their creations. We aim to be a decentralized marketing solution for Open Source software and projects. We accept Proof-of-Content submissions from all around the globe, and are supported by the community through donations and memberships. We compete with the centralized propaganda.

This coin helps raise funds for 2017 programming. We hope to be able to attend several major Bitcoin conferences and film with 4K/360 degree equipment to maximize the lifespan of the content.

The specs are:

- .999 Copper
- Keys generated and assembled by Crypto Imperator (Crypto Imperator Hologram)
- Founder Series
- Only 27 coins
- 21 coins in silver plate
- 5 coins in gold plate
- 1 coin in rose gold plate
- Numbered
- No Denomination (increases in value with each Friends of Satoshi earning distribution - fair profit sharing = 60% for creators + 25% for members + 15% for administration)

We are looking to price at $250 / coin for the 20 silver plated coins, and auction the 5 gold plated coins here. The goal is to raise at least $5000 to help fund in-house creations in 4K/360 degrees and film at several major bitcoin conferences.

Not trying to be an ass here but don't you think that is way overpriced for plated coins? I understand that you're trying to raise money but that makes no sense at all. $250 for a silver plated copper coin is ridiculous.

1) There are only 25 coins/members in the series.
2) Each coin will receive a percentage of earnings and increase in value indefinitely.
3) The coin is a fundraiser to bootstrap the organization so the Founder Series will be the most expensive (and rarest) issuance.

Great question! We have a slack (friendsofsatoshi.slack.com) that anyone can join that details both donations incoming and distributions outgoing. Of course, this is all occurring manually, but we would love to be in a position to automate this (and open-source the code) and integrate it all into the website. The 0.04 is to the earliest of our creators, hopefully you will be familiar with them! Proof Of Beats, Rawlzsec, Crypto Campos, and the Friends of Satoshi in-house creators (0.01 each).

As long as Friends of Satoshi is still in existence and receiving earnings, you will receive payouts. Since we are so new, we do not have sufficient contingency plans to handle severe catastrophes, natural disasters, death/transference of ownership, etc. but this will all be decided by the members. Even if we do not receive any donations or grants, stop producing in-house content, and lose all other creators, we can always turn on direct monetization from YouTube to generate revenue on our existing content. We maintain very low overhead too, so it is easy to keep the lights on, so to speak.

In fact, it essentially has a budget of zero in this area, aside from the funds that r/Bitcoin has to promote Bitcoin. Friends of Satoshi is an attempt to change this, and incentivize/subsidize content creators to produce educational/informational/inspirational content for Bitcoin (and eventually other open source projects). Who exactly is Friends of Satoshi right now? Myself, and a handful of creators.

2) Kind of! We are technically in a 'beta' period, so we are providing access to select members to test out all of our features, and as a thank you we are offering permanent membership (with voting rights, but no distributions). PM your email and I'll send you an invite.

This is an interest point, and something we may change in future series. However, for this series, it will be possible to verify legitimate coins by comparing our revenue XPUB key with the distribution TXIDs (Payments will be made only to these 25 addresses). Additionally, shortened versions of the addresses (1whatever) will be posted on our 'Thank You' website page.

It may be possible to laser inscribe numbers post-production.

You beat me to it! Based on the initial feedback here, the price is now on sale at $150 for the silver plated coins. 5 gold plated ones are still planned to be auctioned on here when they are in-hand.

Will the 25% be transferred to the coin direct after payment and release of the coin ?

Yes, not immediately but in the following distribution (which will occur monthly). The initial distribution will not be merely $150 * 0.25 = $37.5 in BTC, however. The 25% distributed will be after taxes and costs. The estimate would be about $20-25 for the initial distribution. The initial distribution is assumed into the cost of the coin, so other members will still receive:
 (($150 - costs)*0.25 )) /outstanding members
In other words, following the initial distribution, you don’t receive 25%, it is 25% TOTAL divided by the number of members. Maximum 25 coins/members for this series, so you are guaranteed 1% in earnings until you (and each member) has received Bitcoin value equalling their initial investment.

Yes, the site has inventory management and will only allow for the maximum 20 coins (if there are any remaining gold coins after the auction, they will be also listed, separately).
