I would love to know where to start in this whole journey. My few main questions are:

What is the best/most efficient miner to buy? Where should I buy it from?

Should I use a pool with this miner or just solo mine?

How do I even set a miner up? Is this similar to bitcoin mining?

What is the best coin to mine?

If someone could just help me get started I would greatly appreciate it.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

maybe my answer is not correct but at least i am trying to help you. here it is :

1. i think for now, you can buy new PC with support 6 vga and mining zec or eth, you can buy from near of your city. and if you want to mining bitcoin, then you can buy antminer s9, you can find it in ebay, or directly from hashnest itself.

2. better you use pool rather than solo mine, but the result is different between one person and others.

3. if you want to mining scrypt, hashimoto-dagger, x11, the setup is different than bitcoin. you need to find it by self.

4. its depend on what hardware you use and the result should be different.

all in all, don't forget to thinking about electricty fee for mining with hardware and how much your budget will you use to buy the hardware.

good luck.
