Scammer profile link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=849485

Amount Scammed: 40$
Payment method: Bitcoin
Proof of payment: https://btc.blockr.io/tx/info/023bfe38cdf12d5d6f11e363407eea99ead0e5949e09c40abe407382e97cce12
The scammer refused to refund my money and locked his thread.

The short story:

I bought this "method" to make 60$ weekly: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1649770.0
I asked several times (before buying) if this method is legal, and every time he said: yes.
I paid 40$ (through BTC)
What I received (via email) is an illegal and NOT allowed practice (use a bot) to get some rewards from a website/game.

Copy/paste:

Please read the information very well, you should be able to complete this on your own but i am available anytime you encounter any difficulty.
Thank you.
=========================================================
Straight to the point.

We are botting in a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer
Online Role Playing Game). With the amount of in-game
currency you will be getting, you WILL be guaranteed to
make back any fees or money which you pay to use the
programs mentioned.

Some games cost $15 to play per month and the bot will cost you $10 and that is $25 per month.
What will get me in-game currency?
- Farming pure gold/currency
- Farming materials for crafting and selling it off in
marketplace

Right now the game which I am botting in is called Final
Fantasy XIV. I pay $15 a month + $10 for
the bot, which equals to $25. Each month I make about
$200 from it, so I get the $25 back + $175. This means
that for about 5-10 minutes of work each day,

Final Fantasy XIV by Square Enix
http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/product/#usage_fee
Bot: FFIVMinion:
http://www.mmominion.com/misc.php?page=ffxivbot

N.B
There is possibility of getting banned but the chance is slim so i will advise you to sell your currency every day.

I go to the website and check their Rules & Policies and there is clearly stated:

Quote
2.1 Cheating and Botting. You may not create or use any unauthorized cheats, bots, automation software, hacks, mods or any other unauthorized software or hardware designed to modify the Game and gameplay. In addition, you may not take advantage of game system bugs and exploits during gameplay.

2.2 Real Money Trading, Farming and Power-Leveling. You may not sell, purchase or exchange for real-world money or value any in-game currency, accounts, characters, in-game services, or in-game virtual items. You may not play the Game for the purpose of acquiring virtual items or advancement in game play on behalf of a third-party or for the purpose of selling any virtual assets to a third party for real-world money, specifically including "gold-farming" and power-leveling services.

It is obvious that this is an illegal & not accepted action and I can't accept to use this kind of methods.
Also, I have reported this "method" to the website/game owners explaining the issue and providing his sale thread link.

I have given a negative feedback to the user.

UPDATE: received an answer from FINAL FANTASY XIV  team, and they confirm that this is a violation of the user agreement:

Quote
Hello and thank you for your GM call.

We are aware that the use of third party programs has caused disruptions for many players, and we take every measure to stop violations of the User Agreement. If you have included names in your report, then the matter will be recorded and investigated.

However, for this and any future cases, we also recommend submitting a report directly to the Special Task Force to ensure a more thorough investigation. You can submit your report by visiting http://support.na.square-enix.com and choosing FINAL FANTASY XIV. Then, select Report Bugs or Offending Players to access the reporting form.

Thank you for your patience, and best wishes to you.
FINAL FANTASY XIV Game Master Team

I sent another report to the Special Task Force (as they indicated).

Why did you go first with this person?
Your rank is much higher, and he has no trust rating.

You should have checked the method before paying him, as you are considered as "more trusted".

Please take care in the next time.

The old and experimented people can make mistakes too Wink
Anyway ... 40$ is not a big lost, but now everyone will see the red tag on his profile and will know he is just ... another scammer.
We are living in a bad world Wink

Maybe some member of DT2 or DT1 will review this thread and tag this scammer to warn other users and avoid other potential victims.

This is clearly a breach in the terms of sale between "superiorus" and "play store." Automation software is listed as a prohibited activity and is a breach of the Terms of Service of FINAL FANTASY XIV, that could ultimately cause the team to

Quote
[Assert] a lawsuit for breach of contract, copyright infringement, or other cause of action as may be applicable; and/or
[Seek]injunctive relief in any court or jurisdiction to prevent you from continuing such activity.
Source: http://support.na.square-enix.com/rule.php?id=5382&tag=users_en

Screenshot of play store's claim of an above-the-board guide.

Superiorus, I would highly recommend using escrow in the future to prevent similar losses from occurring.

You can PM them and ask for more info. about this user if they have.

I don't think that will help me ... Even I found who it is ... I won't travel to his country to recover my 40$ Smiley
He is from some islamic country (if his name is the real one could be Afghanistan):  Rahum Kabul - rahumkabul@gmail.com

The problem is nobody care about this, I post this scam accusation without any result.
He can scam any other user without problem, he can participate in signature campaigns and receive money, he can buy/sell, etc.

OP you should also inform the campaign manager of Bitconnect. The scammer, play store, is in that campaign. The getting red trust would kick him out of the campaign. Sorry for your loss, I hope you get back your money or get justice from being scammed.

I informed him (posted in his thread and via PM) and he sent me this message:

Quote
You should convince any of the DT2 or DT1 member to give him a negative feedback and then I will remove him.

I'm not in DT1 or DT2 , so even I gave him a negative feedback for this scam , it does not matter ... because of this trust system.

I hope someone does give him some red trust, so people will know what he did. He sold his reputation for just $40. What a cheap low life that guy is.
