Two weeks ago btc was around 640$, yesterday I checked and it was 705$ and today it's 720$.. It jumped up for 80$ in period of just a couple of weeks. What are your thoughts? Will it continue to rise like this, at what point will it stop going up and whats the cause of the sudden price jump

actually it is a natural change in the price now . because this price is from some days and i think it would remain stable  for two weeks atleast . and it price will fluctuate around $700/btc .

actually the demand in the bitcoin world is increases due this reason the price got high .
and also wee are seeing some new activities and also new services in bitcoin is going to start these are the main reason of lack of btc in online market that results into high price and u think it will continue for about 10 days .

bitcoin price is 700 dollar now and it doesn't matter how much some people dislike it because they missed out and it doesn't matter if it goes below it for a short time, the price is 700 dollar and it will go back there no matter how much they swing bitcoin around with dumps and spreading lies about china or other things!

It's not so rapidly increasing, I would say, but stil is moving up and that is good. The only problem is that we can't be so sure that it will continue so another month or more.
Hope for the best that rising will continue but we have to be ready for all scenarios.

I don't see that scenario happening and you can actually google the bitcoins statistics for nov-jan and you can see that bitcoin doesn't go down since holiday season is approaching, but instead it makes the price soar nor bent stable, but surely i will say yes if you would say the dump will happen at the end of that said months since bad fuds can surely scattered and many people would dump since they have nothing to wait at that moment(just my opinion)

Usually it retains a bit of the price after the dumps so it reaches higher heights every time there is a big pump. Perhaps by the end of next year we would have seen the much desired 1000 $ happen...

I don't think that the rapid increase of bitcoin price is due to the adoption of bitcoin.  If there is an actual adoption, it should be slow and steady, but if it is something like fast increase in price, there is some irregularities in it.  It is either someone is manipulating the price or someone is panic buying because he is escaping his countries currency depreciation.  Either of the two will result in a dump later on.  Because whales will surely dump his bitcoin when it reaches his target price, while those who bought bitcoin to escape their currency's demise will surely convert it to other currency resulting in dumping of their bought bitcoins.

I don't get it!Where's the logic behind that?
If dumping happens after each rise, we could have seen it several times now, just alone in this year. The dump in august doesn't count because it was due to the finex hack.
So I would say is what would happen is after a huge rise, is mostly some bigger correction, before continuing what we are doing the whole year now. We move up, corrrect and then move up again.
We're in a bull trend and I can not see why people should dump massively just because we are moving up too fast, which by the way is some subjective feeling.

The recover is being beautiful. Everyone was screaming it was the end of the world, "oh my god, we are going back to 250!!!!!!! fuck!!!", it looks like the panic sellers went insane again and the sane people held through the storm and now we are back on track to 1000+

I hope you're right there buddy. $1000+ would be amazing but if we could get & stsy above $800 by Christmas I'd consider that very bullish.

Many users here expecting of fast increasing price from 700-800 and others thinks it will decrease so fast which is impossible to happen some are panicking of selling their coins because of afraid the price will dump so fast. And the opposite is buying because of expecting of the large price hike.
In my opinion there's no reason to panic, think that this price is just like before without change from $560 that is stable from almost a month adn this rate is so nice and this stable price from the range of $690 -$710 is really great for me compared from the last months that has $500-$600.

I was really really shocked too when the time i vacation the price of bitcoin is not like that and then i online because my vacation is done i really amazed on what the bitcoin price happen and when i checked it into preev.com site the bitcoin price was really high and my thoughts is the bitcoin will be hit the 800?

I was really really shocked too when the time i vacation the price of bitcoin is not like that and then i online because my vacation is done i really amazed on what the bitcoin price happen and when i checked it into preev.com site the bitcoin price was really high and my thoughts is the bitcoin will be hit the 800?

Price has again started to go down slowly again and I think till the end of the next month we would be playing at the same price level but as we have seen in the past that price starts to go higher at the end of the year so we can expect the price of $800 at the end of the year but not before that and that also if people continues to buy till that point of time.

Everyone is expecting some great price by the end of the year and that is why everyone is preferring to hold their coins till that time so that they can sell when price reaches to $800 or even higher in coming months and I think $800 is pretty possible to achieve at the end of the month of December.

As long as the prices keeps staying above 700$ this is good. The tendency is going up and we all would like to see 800$ at least by the end of the year. Some are going even further saying that the price should reach 1000$very soon.

Year 2017 will be the promising year for bitcoins as bitcoin is growing more and more over a period of time and we have witnessed the same thing in this year as price rise to more then 100% in this year in compare to the last year and if the rally continues then we may see much better and higher price in next year.
