Need some spare btc for a new PC

Let's say I have access to the 50 internet caffe PCs. If I were to install alt-coin miner to run in the background at low % of power (PCs are relatively new, maybe a year/two old), so it doesn't interfere with the regular usage of that pc for games and internet. Also, they'd be runing for 15 h/day, could that bring in some profit on the long run with the low difficulty alt-coins?

Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

the new coin called zec coin could work for your idea.

note I said could work.

it all depends on the cpu in the pc.

I have found

intel pentium's suck  as in the hash rate is low.

intel i3
intel i5
intel i7

do well
read here  to see what an i5 and an i3 can do.
yours will do a little less since I am using the cpus full set of cores
you would need to use 3 of 4 cores for mining and 1 core for the customer to surf.
so if you are all i5's the 19 or 20h drops to 14 or 15 h

It won't work long term. You might make like 10 cents per PC now with Zcoin but in a month, you would make maybe 1-2 cents a day with all 50 of those PCs. You need a GPU to mine.

Sure but the pc may get crippled

genoil has the best gpu program   he has a thread  but the program has stability issues.
eventually there will be gpu programs that run better for zec coin.

note I added info to my post above.  read the thread link.  it has a lot of info

this is wrong info  if he has i5's

i5's cpus are doing 20h x 50 = 1000h

now he needs to give 1 core to the user  so the 1000h drops to 750h

take ⅓ off for power down  he drops to 500h

I am earning 150 usd a day with 350h

lots of caveats here.

first all i5's are not the same

second he may need  to give 2 cores not one core

so 1000h x ½ = 500h x ⅔ = 333h   which earns about 140 usd a day.

but this is a smoking hot coin and this could be very short term

and he could have shit cpus like a pentium g 4400  which earns 4h not 20 h

I think almost internet caffee here in my country are using i7 cpu so if you can install 50 miners in 50 cpu you will be big time earner because you are not the owner of internet caffe and you are just install it auto run everytime its restart..

yeah if it is i7's it is better.

give 5 cores for mining and 3 cores for the other user.

or give 5 cores for mining and 2 cores for the other user.

right now zec is godlike  but I have seen hot coins fall down.

the op should really look into this asap.  it may last less then 1 month.

https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-ZEC

the symbol is ZEC

below you can see an i5 all in does 19-20h
an i3 all in does 12-13h

so if he has 50 i5's or 50 i7's he will make some money.  even if he has to reduce the  hash rate by 50%
