I didn't logged on my C-CEX exchange account and then I received this email prompt.

What does it mean? Somebody else is trying to access my account? How is that possible since Im only logging on to any exchange site at my home? Anybody receiving the same email?

It's obvious sign that someone is trying to access your account. I never got such email from C-CEX, but few times somebody tried ot access my account on other services. Now it would be better to change password and as it written turn on 2FA for better security.

Not sure what happened today, maybe someone sold some emails and people are trying everything to access the accounts.
Today I received an email that I requested a password reset which I didn't and I just ignored it.

Nothing have that problem and I have no nothing problems with my c-cex account All good so far..its possible someone trying acces your account i guess

Its really apparent that there is someone knows what is your email used in that exchange and trying to access your account but he fails to do it. Its really recommended to change your password and enabled your 2fa security.

I receved a similar warning months ago that's wben I decided to change my password and activate my 2Fa. I suggests that you do the same. It is a sign thst someone already knows your login details so better change your details than be sorry.

I had this similar problem and did the same. It seems that OP's email was among one of the emails used in a brute force attack hence the email. I also changed my password and enabled my 2FA. Enabling it would significantly improve the security of your account over there.

1. Confirmation emails like these are send when someone other than you (in some cases you will be notified on every login attempt - yours too) is trying to access your account.
2. It means than your account is most likely a target for some kind of hacking.
3. It is advised to tighten your security options after receiving mails like these (enable 2FA if you haven't already, change password for more secure one etc.)

to log in c-cex exchange you generally need a username and password. so for example someone went to the site entered "harizen" (or your whatever your username is on c-cex) and tried different passwords like 123,... and obviously failed. this is the way how the system is telling you about it.

Sounds scary I also have account in c-cex and never experienced that happen to you. Im just thinking now to use 2fa in case some one will try to open my account.

it is scary for those who don't have 2fa active. i once had lost money because i did not activate my 2fa security. i was so careless but now no matter what i activate 2fa on every site i use.

My account there is somehow secure based on my own way of securing it and the only way to wreck my account there is the site itself will turned to a fraud.

I think the person who tried to log-in to your account must've gotten your email/username from other website/forums database. if you'd used the same ids if not it's probably c-cex was compromised.

but did you use your username on c-cex on other places like having the same username on c-cex and another exchange or forums?

so no it is not possible to "spy" and get that but hacking their database is another story.

Seems like someone trying to use the passwords you have used in some phising sites or other random webpages to access your c-cex account but they failed. You need to keep in mind that don't use same passwords in every site you make an account and also i suggest you to change your password to quite stronger one as well as i think c-cex have 2fa, enable it.
