Considering how large the challenge Mt.Gox has ahead of them in terms of solving the lag- maybe it's time for Gox to consider going public. If large institutional money could come into the system- not just to inflate the price of bitcoin, but to shore up the system for trading, we would all be MUCH better off. This at the moment is out of control.

In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

I'm sure they have had some offers! But what kind of signal would that be to have the largest Bitcoin exchange being traded on Wall Street?

I lost money yesterday too Lucif, not a lot, something like 8% compared to if I had sold just before the crash.

Let this cool off for a few days so we can judge the seriousness of this and the media response.

Talking about "bad Gox" might actually drive price up as people are buying coin now to pull their money from Gox faster than they are able to by cashing out.

Do they honestly have 1 million in daily income?

Even so- Mt.Gox should be worth Billions of Dollars, and Hundreds of Millions of dollars is what (seems) is required to build an honest-to-god world class trading system.

100k volume X $100 = 10,000,000 x 0.008 = $80,000 daily income

Not a million of course, but this is fucking enough to put the things in order!  Undecided

Bitcoin is barely 'world-class', in my opinion. Well, not yet.
