I see some scrypt litecoin miners for sale and I'm wondering if you can switch them to mine any other scrypt-based altcoin also?

Thanks.

Litecoin miner is a term that is occasionally used for Scrypt miners. Scrypt miners are just that: miners for Scrypt based altcoins.

Not  necessary. There are some scrypt based alglorithms such as nscrypt, the litecoin miner cannot mine that.

as long as it is a Script based coin you can, there maybe one or two you can't but there not really pure script coins,  that ASIC SCRIPT miner, can mine.

you can list them by algorithm and what stage of trading here: .

https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/#/btc?f0=Scrypt

and there a site you can mine with ASIC SCRIPT miner and be pay in any coin you want even if it can't be mind by ASIC SCRIPT miner, if it's not listed as payout just ask for it , and if it worth it the DEV will make it a payout . I'm using  my 146 mh custom made Script miner to mine ZEC coins as a pay out not the coin it self and it's not to bad and GPU mining with a 200 Sols /h farm in my home.

Hi @plorph,

with a stratum compatible "scrypt-Miner" (e.G. Zeus X1, X6) you can mine
any "scrypt-compatible-coin" on any pool.

The Question is, wether your Device and your "electricity-bill"
are cheap enougth 2 ever get a ROI.

... good Luck !
