When do we cross the 1000 USD barrier?

I think that the end of December or starting week of January, 2k17 should come up with some surprises and we might see boom in the price of bitcoins.
Still, I don't want to be over-bullish as the price is already much high and I think stability should remain in the markets rather than getting it pumped.

my thoughts are we could hit 1000 us dollar before this year ends because its too close on that line . if not maybe next year thats why im saving up all my bitcoins because any time from now we could hit 1000 usd barrier. hoping that it could not get down and it will keep raising so we could hit that target if not this year maybe next year february or march just wait till it happens

The price has been stable at $700-730 in this month and once fall to $680 due to some banned news, I don't think we could reach $1k in this December or any time in this year as now we strugle to even reach $800. If the price constantly increase, we might cross the $1000 barrier in 2017 but there is no guarantee of course.

Of course we won't reach $1000 in 2016 we might reach $800 when we assume that usual bitcoin pumping winter will be a thing this year as well.
But 2017 will be a whole different story - we already have game changing news and projects already announced (YOURS, Bitcache/Megaupload 2.0)that reaching $1000 will be a piece of cake.

i may agree but i only know one thing here, the more times you reach a certain value/point it will make that point stronger, so we reached two times $450 and then it was the new bottom after that we reached $750 two times and now it's the new bottom, guess where we are heading?

Now we can see 3rd of December has passed away, but the magic was not come, So most of the prediction right, because i read many replies and many persons said that in a short time, it is impossible that bitcoin might be cross $1000 USD. i may agree but i only know one thing here, the more times you reach a certain value/point it will make that point stronger, so we reached two times $450 and then it was the new bottom after that we reached $750 two times and now it's the new bottom, guess where we are heading?

Guess where heading at 1000$ point level but we cannot really speculate the right time on when it would be happen, but lets all hope that goodwill let it happen since surely many people for now are watching the movements of bitcoins price and i hope also that we cannot encounter some major problems that can affect the bitcoins price to go down, but for now lets brace ourselves a good surprise is incoming for us to hit up. Since high possibilities that bitcoin will hit its all time high.

Yes $1000+ will most likely happen anytime next year.
But I don't think we will see massive sell offs. I think it will be the opposite.
The closer we come to the actual ATH the more people will pant for new highs! We are waiting and fighting for this more as 3 years now.
So imo some big excitement and FOMO should expected much more.

Btc had been in a seesaw recently, is it that it had found it's new floor?  Anway withr regards of the price of BTC reaching $1000 this january, I don't think that it will happen, most probably we can see a strong resistance when BTC price hits 900 USD because people will then be sellin the bitcoin they bought when bitcoin is at sub $800.  Maybe in the last week of the first quarter.

Im pretty sure we will be sitting at 1000+ dollars before 12 months go by. We are only like 5 dollars away from 778 which is the resistance we are battling at right now, once we cross 778 then this will mean we are stronger to go 800+

We can see a pattern that the price is going up slowly and is pretty stable since a couple or months. I think the price could reach the 1000$ USD barrier in 2017 if the pattern continues on this trend.

I agree, my speculation it is probably around march where we can see our new ATH.  Bitcoin is strong lots of strong holder around and well there are events in some country especially India that push their citizen to buy bitcoin to preserve their wealth. There might be some resistance but I'm sure it will be eaten by the demands of this people who seek to preserve their wealth and not to be confiscated by their government (India to gold holdings)
