An idea of making payment of software with bitcoin

I originally post this in Newbies and only got two replies, but I really think it is a good idea.

1.Developer combine a build-in Bitcoin client with his software.
2.When end users download his software and open it for the first time, a bitcoin account will be initialised and a bitcoin address is generated.
3.End user need to transfer some bitcoins to the address to active the software, lets say 10BTC for example.
4.When end users clicked the "active" button, some of the money will transferred to developer's bitcoin account, lets say it is 5BTC.
5.End user need always keep the rest 5BTC in the software's account, otherwise the software will become deactivated. This make sense to prevent end user from sharing it to public, because others can always transfer the rest 5BTC out, and make all shared software that from same source deactivate.

Ha, kidding.

Yea its a good idea if you can get it work. What we really need is an amazon.com that only accepts bitcoins.

DRM does not, and can never work.

You would have to defeat "cause and effect" (which allows trial and error; etc.).

The only way to know if the coins are still 'there' is to have the program monitor the block chain. The only way to do that is to be online. If you have to be online to use a service aren't there other better ways of keeping you from sharing?

What we really need is an amazon.com that only accepts bitcoins.

One interesting use of an integrated Bitcoin client in a software would be to facilitate the donations for open source projects.

You go to menu Help > Donate or something, and instead of a Paypal button or link to a donate webpage, you have a send Bitcoins buttons.
On first use, the software would generate a new secret address that you can send bitcoins to before making the actual donation, and then in the special donate dialog you can choose to send all or part of what you credited to this address.

The actual bitcoin clients could experiment with this.

For anonymous donate, a bitcoin address is enough. Bitcoin client is not necessary to integrated in the software.
