Using Bitcoin core is just like using our own wallet to save our own money, that's why the safeness of it depends on you. If you can keep your computer from any vulnerable things such as viruses or anything, then you're safe with it. Because you are the only one who has the access to your own wallet not a wallet company or anything like that, because you are the one who has the private key. The point is, you are the one who responsible for you own money. So if you think you can keep it safely there, then just do it!

I recommend you to choose a Bitcoin core or a web based wallet for spendings (low balance) and cold wallets for savings and high amounts. Both Bitcoin cores and cold wallets can be stolen though if there's a thief that knows about Bitcoin. However, there are low chances he'll take some paper and there's low chance he'll even know what Bitcoin is - so it's better than storing on a PC.

Bitcoin core wallet is the best so far. As long as you have antivirus on your computer, you should be fine. More safer if you have a clean pc and make it your offline wallet which is only a usb is the only way to store all your coins. Now your only problem is how to make your pc still alive.

download the webpage https://www.bitaddress.org/take your computer offline ( remove the internet wire ) load a linux live boot cd/usb. print out a public/private key pair using that bitaddress webpage. you've got yourself cold storage. You forgot to mention something else here... If the computer was infected with malicious code that logs all Bitcoin addresses, then whatever Bitcoin address or paper wallet you created, would be logged. There are even Malware that scans the print buffer on printers, after you used that printer. So, I would rather use a Air-gapped computer & printer to print your paper wallets. { Do not connect them to the internet, if you want to use them for large amounts of bitcoins. }

Well, I prefer better solutions which provide additional layer of protection, like 2FA and email authorization. Bitcoin core s ok if you have it installed on an offline source but keeping it always online, well, I would not do this. Be smart.

Actually there is no absolutely safe wallet, Every wallet will always have a flaws. Bitcoin core is a good desktop wallet but it really depends on the user itself on how he/she uses her/his desktop. I suggest that you shouldn't download shady files /install unknown files on it. If you have the money you can buy a cheap laptop solely for bitcoin storing.

I would say yes, why not? As long as you keep your computer safe, and you keep wallet backups in other places just in case... there's always the risk of getting hacked and the coins moving elsewhere, but that would require massive amounts of bad luck + an attacker that's world class, or you being dumb enough to open malware.

Yes, Bitcoin is a secure payment process because it is made on decentralized technology and it allows you to use with secure wallet id code and 2FA also that makes it very secure,

bitcoin core is a desktop wallet, isnt it ? it is safe to store on it, unless you carelessly put your seed on phishing site. other wallet than bitcoin core like trezor is good too. no need to put some seed or key.

It seems difficult to find the best wallet to store bitcoin. Because basically they are all the same and have the same security system. I think to reduce the incidence of theft or loss of your coin, better make a lot of wallet to save your coins.

They are not basically 'all the same'. Desktop wallets do differ from mobile-/paper-/online- and hardware- wallets. Each does have it's own pro's and con's. Security-wise, a properly initialised/printed hardware-/paper- wallet is the best option. I think to reduce the incidence of theft or loss of your coin, better make a lot of wallet to save your coins.
It is not the quantity which matters, but the quality. It doesn't matter whether you have just 1 or 100 exploitable wallets on your infected machine. Compromised means compromised. A hardware wallet combines security and convenience and is definetely better (in terms of safety, security and handling) than 100 desktop wallets..

Bitcoin is safe as long you have your backup wallet and private keys stored on secured place and you download the correct source to avoid scam and virus and also to people who know how to hack any account.

Yes it is safe to store all of your bitcoin to bitcoin because it is so secured and there is so many verification that you are the only one who knows it before someone open it. Actually it can not be hacked because there is a private key that you are the only one who knows it.

Hardware wallets are better if you are ready to spend something extra to procure one else you'd be fine with bitcoin core wallets but if you have many bitcoin then i wouldn't recommend an online wallet.

And also as long us you did not do something wrong like visiting untrusted sites, downloading from unknown address and such. Because this type of doing may bring you at risk where virus may occur and can corrupt your file. And also do not trust easily to someone obviously knowing your information especially if you have lots of bitcoin. Usage of virtual wallet is much safer than wallet where you cam hold money because someone can easily snatch it.

If you are planning to store a large number of Bitcoin and looking for an even safer solution try a paper purse or buy a piece of hardware. Every system is vulnerable and it really comes down to how you handle it. However, I would not recommend storing all your Bitcoin in one place / machine. This way if something bad happens to one of your computers or wallet, you still have some bitcoin left.

It's not best practice but don't listen to the people that tell you it's dumb. If you know enough to secure your own money than that is a far better option but if you have not yet put in the effort to learn you might make a mistake so letting coinbase handle it is a fine option. That said you absolutely should make an effort to learn enough to do it safely yourself and a hardware wallet will make it much easier.

It comes down purely to risk analysis. Holding a few hundred dollar worth? Whatever, keep them on coinbase. Its unlikely anything will happen. Thousands? Use Electrum or a hardware wallet. Nobody thought MTGox was going to shit the bed and lots of people lost a lot of money (myself included). If something ever did happen, you will be protected.
