5 states may legalize recreational marijuana use this year — here's what we know

Nearly half of the US has already legalized marijuana for either medical or recreational use. This November, nine states could continue the trend.

Of those nine states, five have ballot initiatives that could result in legal recreational use. Most significantly, California could legalize recreational use — thus making the entire West Coast a legal enclave for recreational cannabis.

All the initiatives below will be voted on this November, alongside the presidential election.

Maine
Arizona
California
Nevada

If it even only passed in CA, there will be a lot of press attention and stories about it.  And opens up more markets for POTcoin of course. So might be a good time to buy some Potcoin before the election and ride it up next week for some easy profits.

Up 57% right now...was up 80% earlier.  And now this play is on everyone's radar, going into the weekend...four days to really rise/pump.  I'm holding here and looking for a 2 or 3 bagger or more, although don't want to be greedy.

Bought mine a few days ago for CHEAP and it has already more than doubled! Still holding in anticipation of prices rising even more, especially when the US Federal Government considers it illegal resulting in banks wanting NOTHING to do with the "legal" money generated from sales - gives this coin a GREAT deal of value in that sense!

Yes that's the way to do it.  There will be a LOT of media attention before, during, and after the votes in the five states and hopefully the POT devs will put out some press releases or something to further capitalize on it.

But this major move came at just about the perfect time and many more people will become aware of this story and this play over the weekend...which means more buying pressure.  And POT is thinly traded, so even a small amount of new buyers causes it to spike hard.

Dont forget it was 5x higher just a few weeks ago so even if it regained even half that ground, would be about a three bagger from here.

ha ha ha if I were you, I would be very careful, because POTcoin could fall at any moment. you could have profited greatly when the POTcoin  was in 0.00001672BTC

uh, no one outside of here and poloniex knows the slightest thing about potcoin. sure, that's all that's needed for a pump so it'll be fine but keep that confirmation bias under control.

I'm really surprised, actually.
I made some money buying Potcoin when it first came out and selling at 1420 satoshi.
After the last pump and dump I was sure the coin was dead, but maybe it still has some life.

The main thing I don't understand is why anyone would use Potcoin over say, something like Monero.
I haven't heard anyone explain any technical aspect that makes it better than other anonymous coins.
Just because you brand something for a specific use does not make it the best for that application.

If anyone can provide some arguments for using this coin over another payment method I'm open to discussion.

Not sure what your point is.  This is a sub about speculation.  About profiting from speculation.  The price is up well over 100% from when I started this thread.   

I took some profits but still holding most of my position and just thinking it likely has farther to run.  It has been bullflagging it around 2000 for a few hours now so the next spike higher could come soon.

Not sure what you mean by a "pump", but the price tripled from 700 to 2100 in a few days..now about 1600 which is double where it started.   Great returns and profits for those who got in early.  I'm out for now myself.

It was 7000+ last month and 300 a month before that
