Yes, I regret not dumping 200 BTC into a Single 10 months ago. That 200 BTC is now worth $28,000. I am so sad!

Regret what?  That you missed 20x+ jump in bitcoin price because your coins were tied up with the preorder?  Nah...

Actually, no.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

You realize this is just to try and stop the early preorder customers from asking for refunds, right?

I like how their shitty names have gone and they're selling by hash rate now, because they know they'll have to ship twice as many. Oh and power requirements have gone.

I'll stick with my Avalons and GPUs thanks. I prefer things that you know, exist, but I think its just me.

This the earliest orders will never (not in 10 years) recover the cost of capital.  I am surprised they didn't raise prices earlier.

Regardless mining is already high enough risk.  Makes more sense to wait until products are actually being shipped in timely manner so you can evaluate

That being said I may still buy a Single.  I don't need to make a bazzillion % profit.  If I can mine at cost, then I can use the Single as a Electricity to BTC converter, and help improve network security at the same time (by using p2pool).  A win, win in my opinion.   It all depends on your objectives.

Of course there is no reason to place an order today:

All sales are final.
You get higher price, longest delivery time, lowest return, and the most risk (no way out if things go south).    I will wait until the backlog is gone and buy a Single then.  Like I said it all depends on your objectives.

This is only the first performance downgrade.  There are more to come.

Avalon's round 3 pricing will look like a bargain soon.

I LOVE how the "MiniRig" is "Out of Stock".   More like so far out of spec it would have to defy physics to hold that much Heat in such a confined space.....

Not to mention that residential power is likely not enough to run it...

Common sense will quickly tell you that this company is in serious risk of insolvency. They have zero shipping mining products and it's been that way for almost one year and I've seen estimates of 16-22 employees, new facilities, new equipment, failed chips, respins, etc...

Beat the stampede and get out while you can.

BTCFPGA/bASIC refugee here BTW.

ASICMiner is talking about shipping hardware without pre-orders at all and unlike these guys they actually have a confirmed working product. RUN AWAY.

Lol, I have to wonder if they had to raised prices to cover increased refund request like a Ponzi scheme paying old customers with new customers money?  Huh

and this is why i did not order an asic. way too much drama.
avalon batch #1 is the clear winner along with friedcat's thing.
avalon batch #2, whenever it ships, looks like double.
avalon batch #3 will be a single or a walk.
bfl will ship in a month or two i guess making avalon #3 a so-so deal.
