Before Buying Second hand iDevices.
Make sure to tell the owner to disable ACTIVATION LOCK ! ( para maiwasan ang mga naiistuck sa activation screen after updating or restoring their devices. Here's how to turn off ACTIVATION LOCK.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone and go to the iCloud section
Scroll down until you see a Find My iPhone toggle, and turn it off.
When you turn it off, iOS will ask you for your iCloud password. After entering, tap “Turn Off” and you should have both Find My iPhone as well as Activation Lock turned off.
You can also disable this ACTIVATION LOCK using desktop/laptop:
Go to iCloud.com and sign in to your account.
Open “Find my iPhone”, and click on the “Devices” button to get a list of all devices tied to your Apple ID.
(Note that it might take some time for iCloud to determine the location of your devices.)
Select the device, and click the cross button next to it to completely remove it from your Apple ID. You should now see a confirmation alert. Click “Remove” to confirm

What to do before selling your iDevices.Before you sell or give away your iOS device, make sure that you've removed all of your personal information. Follow these steps to protect your data and get your device to its factory default state for the new owner:
Back up your device.
Go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings.
This will completely erase your device and turn off iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, Game Center, and other services.
If you're using iOS 7 or later and have Find My iPhone turned on, your Apple ID and password will be required.
After you provide your password, the device will be erased and removed from your account so that the next owner can activate it.
Important: Do not manually delete contacts, calendars, reminders, documents, photo streams, or any other iCloud data while signed in to your iCloud account, or the content will also be deleted from the iCloud servers and all of your iCloud devices.
It seems that this is a very helpful thread and warning for those iPhone users and as well as for potential iPhone users.
Thanks for this because I'm planning to buy a second hand iPhone 4s or maybe 5/5s because I really have a tight budget.
And it makes me scare because I don't have knowledge about ios. But because of this, it added me some security before buying.
