Didn't they paid out the investors/traders already for the hack?
I don't know whether that is real or not but what do you care if they can compensate you later right?

Stop believing this nonsense. It's very much obvious that an entity is trying to disrupt the current growth that we are experiencing. Bitfinex is a very hot item and somewhat of a sore wound that isn't fully healed yet. And it's obvious how desperate certain people are to get the price to tank instead of going up further.

Is that true? can you confirm that to us, since you have an account there in bitfinex as what have you said.

Will you check if your account still have the balance you've said, if this is true then is so sad to those who have accounts there and I guess the site will close soon after this attack.

But I guess this is just hoax I've just search in google for some news about this but I don't see anything related to this hack all i saw was the last hacking in that site.

I'm thinking FUD. No one smart would believe that post without first seeing any proof (unfortunately some bitcoin users are too dumb for their own good).
Also I don't see any reason why they made this public. In fact, posting the address allows anyone to see where the bitcoins will go after that.

Seems to be an empty bluff. Yet another extortion amount.
Bitfinex would do well to ignore the message and proceed as usual.

If you have some bitcoin or fiat i still recommend you to withdraw them and wait for few days to watch what will happen even i really don't think this claim is real but better to stay away from drama and vulnerability bitfinex have.

I dont  think this   news  is  a  legit  one , same as  other  members here  i do  search this  thing  to  internet and  i  dont  find  any  latest  news   about the  current hack. Maybe those guy  who are   saying   false  news  is  just  trolling and  making  up  some   negative   feelings and doubts  from bitfinex users . I still believe  on this  site even they  experience hack previously  and i  believe  their security  is  increased to  prevent  more hacks.

If this is true, bitfinex credibility will greatly suffer. They have declared that they have a top notch security in placed and the clients money is safe. But now, someone has publicly declared that there is still a hole in their system. Even if this is just an extortion case, the clients of bitfinex may still dump their coins to get out of bitfinex and bitcoin price may still be affected.

It's the threat of a hack. That's rather easier to do than actually carry it out.

However nothing much about Bitfinex would surprise me any more. I think to stop using it the Bitfinex team would have to personally visit each of their users, strangle their hamsters and dig up their internet cabling. Even then I'm sure a few people would come crawling back for their fix.

ah that is stupid from them letting their exchanging be hacked again, this also might explain why the price was dumped yesterday, i thought it was because of chinese, but it seems that once again it is just for security reason

True, that's total bs and a blatant lie. Never take anything like this for a fact, let alone call to action.

Well from what i had read its an ultimate to bitfinex, being realistic or just a fake attempt to get easy 500 btc looks like bitfinex will be the focus from hackers or from some company that wanna hit bitcoin, and the exchange has made a damage already into bitcoin last time.

Starting to think visiting this site when the price is up will only lead me to reading fud to manipulate the price and not actually real news articles. Getting to the point people should be hit with a fudster tag for continual misleading posts. Would crack down on the people that do it and alert new members to the potential posters doing it.
We need to back check these stories instead of spreading them so freely.

OK, so some newly created reddit account claims something they cannot prove and demand 500 btc ransom bounty?

Anyone can post any shit. If they were serious they'd go around it differently. No one ever is going to pay them without proofs.

The first FUD attempt some days ago failed to take the price down very deep (at least it had a short lasting panic effect). As result, the price recovered nicely to where we are right now. And as we have seen today, some other clowns are trying to achieve the same by spreading FUD, but there is zero effect on the price, where even noobs don't take it serious. Or perhaps.... Some are.
