I am wondering if someone can help me out with this website:

http://www.computerlounge.co.nz

this is my local cheapest supplier of computer parts (note i get a discount from listed prices)

If anyone can help me out by suggesting a build (with available parts from computer lounge) that would be AWESOME

we are after best $/hashing power/low power,

I have a few mining cards but even what the best GPU from this store would be for the price theyre asking

if you really impress me I have a 0.05 bounty on it (if I end up getting the rig, will post pictures here)

thanks in advance

Cheers

i usually go with a open frame(by the look of that site it seems that you want a standard gaming rig to mine..), h81 pro btc, g1840, 8GB ddr3 sniper, 120GB ssd, rm1000i and 6 x risers

then you simply choose nvidia or amd

I dont think that website actually sells half of that stuff, because its older, im looking for new parts, i already have frame and risers in hand

then you only need what i mentioned, for the psu the evga 1300w is also good, if you find the 1000w too strict

what I am saying is that website doesnt sell half the stuff you mentioned (the old mobo etc) I need a complete rig solution from this website (excluding frame and risers)

but those are the best components you can get for a mining rig, isn't better to change website, like amazon, newegg etc...?

Easy enough, and a good list.  When that stuff arrives though, I need (I assume Linux) operating system on it, is there a good guide on how to get that set up and running?

EDIT: Also, with the EVGA 1300W, it has 6 8 pin slots.  How do you power 6 cards if they need 2 connections each?  Or do most cards just have 1 8 pin connector?

the power supply side connections are only 6x 8pin..

the other end of those 8 pin cables will usually have 2x 6pin which is what most cards require on the market today..

some will have an extra 2pin add on that you can use to power 8pin or 6pin cards.

yeah that issue is a pain in the ass, in fact recently i only choose gpu that have only 1 8 pin or 6 pin, to avoid buying more cable, since no psu out there come with 6 x 6+8pin or six 2x8pin

Yea that seems easier, any advice on how to get an operating system set up?

was easy with the possibility to upgrade from previous windows to win 10, but now no more because the free win 10 upgrade ended, so i have my torrent copy of win 7 or win 10 for that, just use a bootable usb, you can make it bootable with rufus

if you mean ubuntu i'm not too familiar with it, i prefer to use linx on a VM
