There's some list marketplace like you want to build, although mostly they sell digital goods.
Maybe you should to have an ability to sell physical goods too, with good features, secure system and the trust is the most important thing to run marketplace site. Get involved with trusted people here, especially escrowers here who probably can help you out.

The idea is good but not original because there are many similar websites but you might make a difference if you can monetize it with your own crypto and probably give people some incentives for some people in order to expose your site to them.

Big enterprise needs time to make important changes its business plan to something that could disrupt its own business cashflow by unforeseen long term problems... They would be into testing phase by now or maybe not. Here is where you make your asumptions and start developing something. You could easily shift your business cheaply while you remain a small startup/business.

We think that it's good idea but it need huge amount of money and I think you know it of course. Can you explain what type of store are you going to make? Are you going to make ebay or amazon affilated website where people can order some thing with bitcoin, I mean it will be possible to buy amazon things with bitcoins? Or are you going to make new store, because it's really huge expense, but income is great in near future. Of course we like your idea man but it's development and success is difficult because there are so many concurents.

eBay and Amazon are both very tough competition to try to pull people away from.  It's not impossible, but it would take an excellent strategy and lots and lots of time and money.

the biggest issue that i can think of is "trust" because a bitcoin based trade is irreversible and also hard to track which makes it a good place for all kinds of scams.

although there is a solution for that which is called escrow. the website can act as one or even have a place for people to sign up for becoming an escrow.

i say you should offer better deals than sites like Amazon and you can become successful. but it takes a long time.

There are many similar site out there but sadly they're not going well, even there is decentralized marketplace like openbazaar, however you could start your own store like amazon but you must have big capital especially in promotion budget due to so many competitors out there, i recommend you to build something unique or maybe similar like purse,io where you can purchase something on amazon but pay with bitcoin, or just focus on selling bitcoin things.

I think the concept of a decentralized market place, like it was done with Openbazaar is too complex for the ordinary person to comprehend. They

already have very successful centralized services like Amazon and eBay and they cannot see the benefits of a decentralized market place. If you can

create a smaller version with reliable escrow services and also a service that only allows the sales of legal products, then you would make some

profits.  This will take a lot of hard work and a lot of money to grow bigger...

Do it only if you have tremendous capital already and can afford to lose it. I am not sure if you are aware of how big project creating huge online shop is.
What I suggest here - instead of standard online shop a better idea (for now at least) is starting a service similar to Shopawl - where you physically don't have to own any products.
And instead act like bitcoin payment processor for everything on Amazon or eBay.

adding extra payment methods is not good and it can even have a negative effect of confusing customers. i say you should stick with bitcoin only payment and don't complicate things at all.

besides none of the altcoins are really being used and no one is going to spend them, people buy altcoins to sell at higher price and earn profit not to spend them!

There maybe a lot of sites out there that offers same features that your planned site is offering but there's still space for newly developed sites like yours. I suggest that you look at the review sites of those who offers same service and note down what they are missing and try to use that at your advantage by making sure its available in your site. Sell products that others don't.

It will be hard to start marketplace similar to amazon however you can look at business concept of purse.io. You can also make few changes on their service and way of operation and start similar service, i think there is still space for another similar platform but it may be hard to build trust on starting days. You can also add support to ebay, banggood etc marketplaces too.

It is a great idea, we already heard this kind of thing fro a long time, but up until now there are no store as big as amazon yet, the store that existed seems had a trouble to expands, so if you want to open store like amazon you need to prepare a lot of marketing team with a lot of promotion and if possible don't start with small scope, if it is being well maintained and well advertise it will be a good business
