I feel the almost the same issue purchasing Bitcoins from where I live. Localbitcoins doesn't ask me for ID proofs but the rate of purchasing Bitcoins is almost another 40-50$ more than the normal bitcoin price rates. I would suggest you to have a look at paxful, they allow you to purchase Bitcoins with amazon gift cards or vanilla gift cards without ID. You could also try out kraken exchange which doesn't require ID proofs for smaller purchases. If you're lucky to have a Bitcoin ATM in your city you can buy it from there as well if it doesn't ask you to scan an ID proof.

I have not really bought any bitcoin in a while, i have been mostly trading this last year.  but i have been trying to buy today from localbitcoins and bittylicious and it has been a real challenge.  they want photos of me holding cards on localbitcoins and on bitty they need about 4 different forms of id, what is going on.

this is seriously restrictive to anyone wanting to get into bitcoin,  like its meant to be pseudonymous but if the gate ways into bitcoin dont allow that people will be put off.    Huh
Not hard to buy bitcoin, you can purchase at local bitcoin exchange but if you want to exchange digital money to bitcoin yes that's the step they are offering for start the trade.

It should be, as it is available in exchanges anytime. The only problem is  at how many price you are willing topay as it is quite expensive right now.The price is main rason sometimes why there is hesitation to buy. Hoping to find some bargain.

Here in my country it is not hard to buy bitcoin we can deposit money and after we do exchange money to bitcoin our banks accept deposit go to our local bitcoin wallet. I think that was depending on the area.

the problem is that apparently you have never bought anything else with money online so you feel strange when they are asking you for your documents. it is all about the "fiat" part of it and the regulations fiat brings with itself, it is always restrictive both to the users and the merchants.
it has nothing to do with bitcoin itself and actually bitcoin was created because of these kinds of restrictions (trust)

It may a little bit hard to buy bitcoin at those exchangers, I never really plan to buy bitcoin in foreign exchanger.
It will easier to buy bitcoin in local exchangers in my country or simply buy with my friends. Fast and easy transaction of bitcoin.

That's pretty crazy mate, It only means that they are following some rules. I doubt it is the local rules because in one of the online wallet i am using converting bitcoin into fiat is really not that easy also as it seems unlike before. Same situation as you do in which i do have to verify my identity+ a selfie before i can convert into FIAT.

I never agree that buying bitcoin is too hard. I am just talking with respect to the regulations/conditions are right now I'm having in my country. Even for any country people buying bitcoin with their own available methods is still possible at least with our forum members.

We need to understand that we can buy bitcoin with our energy and efforts. Buying bitcoins does not need other format of money all the times.

When you look at this out of the perspective from the seller, he wants to ensure a few things.
First of all he wants really to get his money. Of cours you always have to pay first, but sometimes later trouble comes up. For that case the seller wants your details.
Then the seller does not know what you are planing to do with the coins. In case they are used for something illegal and traced back to the seller, he can at least tell who he sold them to.

well if some sellers do request you to do that strange thing i call it as usual thing they need to do to make sure they're not going to be scammed by the buyers, nowaday there's so many credit card data stolen and some carders trying to take advantage of some bitcoin seller to get bitcoin by using their stolen credit card data,it's a challange indeed but if you do have the card then why don't just do that only if you don't mind
Even with bank money transfer somehow they have manage to card funds and hence they are reversible, not just reversible but getting such amounts also mean that your bank account will get frozen without any statement from bank (at least in India) so even if I was the seller I might have asked such proofs.

These  are the   things that   really blocks a  certain individual  to  purchase  bitcoin because  not all have the  capability  of having a  bank account  or  debit cards as  you mentioned also.  Thats  why some people  would really  force  to do  peer to peer transactions  even though they  know the risk  of  it. Some  people  really dont   need to use  or  purchase bitcoins  because they already  know  how to earn  without   buying any bitcoin.

Buy Bitcoins in other places if you don't like what's going on on those particular ones. You said you've been trading this year, so why can't you buy Bitcoins where you were trading? Also I think you can find here on this forum people from a place near you or who are using same currency at least and buy BTC from them.

trading is not always trading altcoin, you can also trading any currencies such as japanese yuan,US dollar, and any currencies,i guess when you're asking such question as "so why can't you buy Bitcoins where you were trading?" you're only considering altcoin coin trading while there's so many option you can choose for trading

Huh

That's possible but we are in the crypto world so it's just right to patronize our own currency, we have to support it as if we do that it will also give us some kind of benefits. Trading with this currency is already one of the privilege we can get and if we are successful we will surely enjoy more profits.

I never experience the hard time to buy bitcoin, maybe you choose the
wrong exchange. You may find other local stores that accepts bitcoins.
Here in my country is easy to buy bitcoin, within minutes direct to
your wallet which is coins.ph apps.

We all have different situations mate in every country and place. Where I live there are no local traders while a friend of mine living in other established city has a lot of users who give BTC for cash, so I have some understanding with him under which I get BTC easily but not all have such dealings.

Yes it is aimed at the security and authenticity of your account. The identity will be safe and will not be disseminated. It's their rules and maybe you try to follow because it's not too hard in my opinion. Destination has such good and to prevent account theft and misuse of the account.
I am using local bitcoins and till to date today I have never been asked such proofs either by LBC or any user whom I have traded with. The best happened was when I met a user in other city for a big dealing (I was buying BTC) and he wanted to see me face to face before dealing such big, it was obvious and I met him, simple.
