Coinbase requires a lot of information as well. It's hard to make initial purchases and be anonymous at least in America.

I have not really bought any bitcoin in a while, i have been mostly trading this last year. but i have been trying to buy today from localbitcoins and bittylicious and it has been a real challenge. they want photos of me holding cards on localbitcoins and on bitty they need about 4 different forms of id, what is going on. this is seriously restrictive to anyone wanting to get into bitcoin, like its meant to be pseudonymous but if the gate ways into bitcoin dont allow that people will be put off. It seems that some exchange are requiring some identification before buying a bitcoin. It can be a good part for them so that they would know who are their customers and can be used in future purposes. But in the part of customers, this is hassle. And have you ever tried to look for some exchange that doesn't require those things? Most if not all exchanges require that since they are applying KYC know your costumer policies that banks are also forced to comply with and even if you found an exchange that did not require it I will not trust them that much. It is a good initiative that some of the exchange sites are doing this but the thing of bitcoin's anonymity will be gone. Because that's why many are using bitcoin because there is no information required for each transaction. And this is kinda awaring for getting their customers information and making themselves like bank. Sooner or later they will be regulated by gov't.

They do not have any choice but to comply otherwise their business will be compromise, we just have to accept that otherwise we cannot transact also. In addition, we need to trust them to keep our information private otherwise they can be sued for unauthorized revealing of our information.

You can buy bitcoin here in the forum to those users who has positive trust, they will not scam you or to be more secure you can hire an escrow. Those information are needed for you to make a cash out so a bank is involve and the major requirement of it is Identity verification.

I think it is difficult to buy bitcoin because many people are not yet aware of it. They don't know what is it and the uses of it. So it is difficult also to convert it into fiat. I hope in the near future many people will be aware of it so using bitcoin will be more convenient for us.

Well first of all many companies cannot do Bitcoin services because it's anonymous and they have to pay legal taxes. It's also hard because as we want it to be anonymous, we don't want for example to exchange our bank accounts money into it.

Meanwhile you probably don't have any problems with giving your personal information to your bank, telephone operator or other services we think are necessary for us to fully 'live' in modern society. From my experiences bitcoin exchanges didn't expect you to give them more info than it is needed to open standard bank account.

Yup I had to bend over so the cable guy could get a sample the last time I needed a repair. Oh no wait... That was when I got my bill. Either way you have to give out info because governments are trying to regulated bitcoin somehow. Just go to a different exchange that doesn't need it. It'll just cost you a higher premium.

Well it is same as here in my place that it needs KYC but i think it is not the problem if you want to be anonymous transactions you can use bitcoin mixer to transfer to your anonymous wallet so there is no problem with it only for depositing or buying bitcoin is your problem..

In my country, buying and using bitcoins was no deal. I think on the other place it was difficult because bitcoins was not really famillar in that country. Like my friend in japan, she still needs ask his son to buy him a bitcoins here in phillipines, and another reason, i think since bitcoins are not yet legal, only few country are selling bitcoins or few merchants in other country selling bitcoins.

It is not so hard, just online most exchangers request the id verification before selling the bitcoins and also the currency still not enough popular right now. You can try localbitcoins or the exchange of this forum to buy Bitcoins

I think there are many ways to buy a bitcoin, instead of just using Coinbase, if you think Coinbase requires many conditions, you can search the site exchange, they may not require a lot of requirements only email

That's bad , in here you can buy and sell btc without Id verification on local exchanges so you can buy and sell bitcoin without problem as long as the exchanges has sufficient bitcoin to order . In some countries Id verification is important.

Here in our country, we can use the other features of the local exchange if only our Identity is verified like ID and selfie verifications. Not just an ordinary ID, it should be a government ID issued to make it valid. The feature I referring is for cashing in and out your money from them, example is you can cashout a maximum of 50,000 pesos.

I think you needs a trader who can make easy deals through social media platforms or whatsapp also . Earliar to make buy sell was very complicated work for me but i got a trader who is trusted . Now it is very simple for me to make buy/sell

In my opinion, it is because bitcoin has not received enough recognition from the public. Hence, it's quite hard to get some deals with it because only a few recognizes its value.
