The difficulty being experienced in buying bitcoin, I will say its specific to on several countries that have sound system working to control the flow of money outside the financial system for me, if I want to buy I can get in the most simplest way without any stress. All I need is just to have the cash ready and set up an escrow then I have the bitcoin as easy as that.

I wouldn't say it's hard to buy bitcoin I'd say that people are just forced to follow rules such as KYC which forces people to get verification of identity verification to make sure you are who you say you are. This isn't due to the legit exchanges just wanting to know random information, they're forced into getting this data by the governments.

I personally have no problem verifying my identity on a site like coinbase but others may, I guess you'll be forced to pay a higher percentage fee for using a service such as LBC or Paxful.

I have not really bought any bitcoin in a while, i have been mostly trading this last year.  but i have been trying to buy today from localbitcoins and bittylicious and it has been a real challenge.  they want photos of me holding cards on localbitcoins and on bitty they need about 4 different forms of id, what is going on.

this is seriously restrictive to anyone wanting to get into bitcoin,  like its meant to be pseudonymous but if the gate ways into bitcoin dont allow that people will be put off.    Huh
You should try localbitcoins or the currency exchange section on the bitcointalk forums. Both have a more anonymous P2P approach.

I'm starting a technology blog T4CH.top, check it out!

What type of payment method are you trying to use? I never had any problems using banks deposits or face to face trade, if you are trying to buy bitcoin with paypal be prepared to face lots of difficulties and horrible rates, there are lots of scammers and people need to protect themselves.

It is normal for the exchanger or exchange sites to require their client to show their identity together with photo and holding cards, because that is the things requiring in Poloniex, Bittrex, Novaexchange, but not 4 different forms of ID, try these exchange site I mentioned to lessen your problems.

I think those local exchanges are trying to make sure that their clients will not be involved in any fraud or amla activities. My local exchange also asked for a selfie verification in order for me to upgragde send and receive capacity.

"It is not" hard to buy bitcoin because there is a lot of sites or online wallets that designed for the people in your country and also you can do personal meetup to buy bitcoin and in that case, you can lessen the risk of getting scam since you will do meetup. You can also visit localbitcoins.com then it is automatically that you will see different offers from same country. As i said a while ago, Buying bitcoin is not hard you are just lazy to find or explore the different ways to buy bitcoins.

What percent of your investment are you willing to lose while converting from fiat to BTC? I used paypal->virwox->Poloniex and that route took over 20% which is obviously ridiculous. I think paypal is the weak link here. Will probably go with localbitcoins from now on.

If you dont want to kee your buying bitcoins in exchange then buying through localbitcoins is also a good idea as you will get bitcoins directly to your wallet and like this you can be more safe and when ever you want you can sell them back through localbitcoins or anyother exchange.

In my country, too, through some difficult to buy Bitcoin exchangers. They require additional registration and a copy of the passport. I do not like it. I used to buy the goods quickly. So I want to be able to quickly buy Bitcoin

I'm certain that it doesn't have to be a passport. I think that's just one of the many valid IDs that they're accepting. You must understand that these bitcoin exchangers are following some rules and they can't just hand out bitcoins to anyone that has money. Same when cashing out, they can't just hand out fiat money because someone has bitcoins. You have to verify your identity first. These bitcoin exchangers are just avoiding future problems.

As i said a while ago, Buying bitcoin is not hard you are just lazy to find or explore the different ways to buy bitcoins.

Meeting up is still a hard thing to do to most people because they expect that you can simply enter your bank account and then purchase bitcoins. Apparently, it doesn't work like that. You have to verify your identity first before you can do that and it's not always an instant verification (of identity) and confirmation (of the bank transfer).

Different exchange outlets have different rates. Sometimes the difficulty is in the country where you're from.

Yes that is definitely true. There are countries wherein it is hard to obtain bitcoin while there are other countries like the Philippines that buying bitcoin is so easy. And so with this the probable answer to your question is your location, since there maybe no outlets for you to access and buy bitcoins. Secondly, there is also a tendency that there are exchanges in your country but it was not known by you.

It's not looking good as we all can see but that's why this forum is there to help address some of such issues. You can simply put a request to buy from any of the members here directly with the help of an escrow and get your wallet funded. If you even don't find anyone willing you can contact me so I buy it lically from my country and have it transferred to your wallet by again using an escrow.

You know, they used that for the security of the sellers and also the buyers to prevent crime because they want you to give your identity. They used that also for locating a person if they do unacceptable action. If you don't want to give your identities find another selling BTC sites that not as much strict.

You use the path too far to purchase Bitcoin, I think it's a waste of time and fee, you pass through Paypal then virwox first, then can buy bitcoin in poloniex. I'd suggest to use local Bitcoin, I agree with that. In my country there are local Bitcoin is reliable so I can buy from local Bitcoin Bitcoin, it can make things easier

Buying bitcoin is easy, finding the right seller and getting good price is hard. There are several exchange that sell bitcoin and it is not difficult to find which one are reliable but there is a difference in bitcoin price on every exchange and that is hard to keep track of prices at all exchanges

Yes it is true and different exchanger makes different price too. Sometimes it can different almost $20-$30 per botcoin which is good. By arbiting it may be this will make something too, of course if you only have big amount of bitcoin so you will earn fast enough
I think there are many individuals making a profit out of it, since it is not so difficult to open an account in several exchanges and start making the transactions. The cost would be the withdrawal costs of each exchange, in addition it is necessary to be constantly monitoring the price, but probably many individuals are using bots for this.

If you do not want to provide your photo ID for buying bitcoins then go to those exchanges where they do not need your verification compulsory for have a full account on that exchanges. Then deposit your money to that exchanges and but bitcoins of how much you need to buy. For example go and create an account on yobit or any other exchange like that.

You can sell Bitcoin for USD on yobit but after that how can you withdraw USD without revealing your identity? I have never tried to do it myself, so maybe there is a way, but I thought you have to provide at least your CC number for that.
It is not a probem to deposit and withdraw USD to and from yobit because you can deposit to yobit from any okpay or perfect money account from any person whom you know so it will not show your identity and in the same way you can use any persons payment processor to withdraw USD from yobit.

In general, most exchanges have a simple process, for conversion and for withdrawal. I think most people who would have problems are people who do not want to reveal identity, but in that case I think the only solution would be to use some decentralized exchange. I do not know if those that exist are efficient enough, but I believe that the use of this kind of exchange will become more frequent in the future...
