I'm interested in Bitcoin because I wanted to mine it, gain it through faucets and then gamble with it. With some luck I could sell for cash if I hit big.

I never think gambling can be your income earning if you do this way will be face a problem like not concentration with the game/bet it will make you easily to lose in gambling. Sooner or later he will try gambling, better to try now when he has low money to lose. Worse would be start gambling later, when he will have more Bitcoins, the loss would be higher... Playing when newbie is good, he can start learning about some tricks to increase the chance of success when gambling and how to play safe (without lose lots of money).
