I am wondering if we get a solid run up in Btc and for any alt coins.

Now that a very unusual result has occurred.

Thoughts ?

My guess is a big shift in prices due to this result.

i have been hearing that people say "if trump wins it is good for bitcoin" so there is that.

but i still believe that this won't have that much of an effect on bitcoin price. since it is just US and not the rest of the world. besides i don't think they are going to change their stance against cryptocurrenies (which has never been completely good or completely bad) now.

Bitcoin went up to 730$ while stock market in Tokyo crashes about 5%.
I think that is more than a coincident that this happens on the same day that Trump is going to be most likely elected as the next US President.
I'm really wondering how this will effect the whole world economy in the next weeks.

I'm not sure. But I think it may hurt the USD prices which would drive up the BTC price. Obviously it would be hard to speculate at this stage of the game but when the election results are published it will become very obvious.

If Trump stops the interferance of America in other countries politics, and starts to rebuild their home infrastructure, we can see an increase in world trade. That will be good for Bitcoin. The US is a decreasing influence on the world, their main influence now is the exporting of destruction. They are giving away most of the country - ICANN, the electricity supply network, Google, Apple, Microsoft etc. Unless they can reverse that, they will become insignificant when the world switches away from the Petro-dollar.

That's why I notice that bitcoin price is not increasing, way to go for bitcoin. I like what is happening and just hope US would be progressive under the new president Trump. On the other hand, lucky are those who bet large on Trump to win the presidency.

I personally find it contraintuitive that the btc price would rise if Trump was/is winning. Personally, i find the guy giving a weird vibe, and i find it strange that the BTC market would react positively to such a vibe...

But, apparently, i'm wrong.

I'm disappointed with the result of elections although there is stil a small chance for change. But  I don't think this will influence Bitcoin much in good or bad way. The same would be as the result was opposite.
US dollar and economy will be much more affected and the worlds' markets will show their reaction.

USA is only one country for bitcoin, remember that, and not biggest, china is most important for bitcoin than USA
So i don't predict any serious movement in price, if yes, that doesnt matter in long run.

So,far so good.

Both Gold and BTC are going up even though, as we speak, they reached a top and now they are floating around it.
The dollar is plunging too while the markets will have to face a black wednesday probably.

People will; hopefully flood to bitcoin to try and get away from fiat. The dollar is probably going to drop after trump getting elected so best not to hold too much . I doubt it will bring new users to bitcoin though, only increase existing users hold .

This seems like a mixture of political & speculative talk, so this section is quite inappropriate for it.

I'm actually surprised that people are *disappointed* about a corrupted criminal that was advocating going to war with both Syria and Russia (No Fly Zone in Syria plan) lost. Let me say this clearly before some people overreact to this statement, both candidates are terrible:
Why is Hillary bad?
Why is Trump bad?

If you've been listening in to live news coverage, stocks seem to be down in addition to both Gold & Bitcoin going up (yes, news channels are indirectly *promoting* Bitcoin).

Hi i had already posted this topic. The correct section is speculations. So have it shifted out there. As far your query and as answered in my topic, his winning will not much effect it. So stay calm, trump is here let's hope he accepts Bitcoin for America, that will be good.

I think it will make bitcoin's price going up but doesn't mean Donald Trump help bitcoin, he is just political and in my opinion it is not related with bitcoin and as we know the bitcoins is can not be controled by government.

Well, it is semi-official now. Trump has won Wisconsin which makes him over the required 270 required Electoral votes, making him the next president. How exactly this is going to affect the Bitcoin price is yet to be seen (note that it takes time to move their money onto exchanges and whatnot).

I think it will make bitcoin's price going up but doesn't mean Donald Trump help bitcoin, he is just political and in my opinion it is not related with bitcoin and as we know the bitcoins is can not be controled by government.
You don't know what you're talking about, please do not respond with half-baked posts. Nobody ever stated that Trump has plans to *help Bitcoin* nor attempt to control it.

Bitcoin is a great loophole or alternative now for those who invested in other stocks before, since all the major stock prices are falling with like 5-10% percent.
Thats why the price of BTC is rising
