So USA seems to have picked Donald Trump. Help or hurt btc prices.

Well, it is semi-official now. Trump has won Wisconsin which makes him over the required 270 required Electoral votes, making him the next president. How exactly this is going to affect the Bitcoin price is yet to be seen (note that it takes time to move their money onto exchanges and whatnot).

I think it will make bitcoin's price going up but doesn't mean Donald Trump help bitcoin, he is just political and in my opinion it is not related with bitcoin and as we know the bitcoins is can not be controled by government.

You don't know what you're talking about, please do not respond with half-baked posts. Nobody ever stated that Trump has plans to *help Bitcoin* nor attempt to control it.

Take in easy Mr Lauda, actually i make prediction about bitcoin's price use method analysis tecnical and not using analysis fundamental is like you, that is why i have said Donald Trump can not help bitcoin (in meaning bitcoin's price) there are no related between this election with bitcoin's price in my opinion. This seems like a mixture of political & speculative talk, so this section is quite inappropriate for it.
I'm actually surprised that people are *disappointed* about a corrupted criminal that was advocating going to war with both Syria and Russia (No Fly Zone in Syria plan) lost. Let me say this clearly before some people overreact to this statement, both candidates are terrible:

If you've been listening in to live news coverage, stocks seem to be down in addition to both Gold & Bitcoin going up (yes, news channels are indirectly *promoting* Bitcoin).

This was an unexpected win and a lot of factors are involved that I feel may help BTC.

One factor is the large debt USA owes China.

Trump has done more then one restructure of debt. If he attempts this I think the dollar will get hurt and BTC will do well.

I am holding coins at the moment. Time will tell.

The effect is already been felt, but this is due to speculation, if we are to believe what Mr. Trump said during his campaign then Trump's international policies is going to favour Bitcoin adoption and spread of the coin because more people will be introduced to Bitcoin, but time will tell

Bitcoin is a great loophole or alternative now for those who invested in other stocks before, since all the major stock prices are falling with like 5-10% percent.
Thats why the price of BTC is rising

I don't get it before, why this situation affected bitcoin price and now pumped to $732 which is good.
Yeah, I've seen stock prices are falling during the election and value of US currency take a tumble, on the other hand bitcoin just rise again.

I think it will help bitcoin price to raise, it is not because of bitcoin getting stronger but because the price of dollar is getting weaker, the economics expert predict it will be a disaster if Trump elected, and because of this issue we can see the price is slowly up, so i think bitcoin price is going to higher and higher

USA having donald trump as president is good, but I think it won't have that much of an effect to bitcoin price. In my opinion it will just cause a little price rise on bitcoin and some dumps that might follow after some who holds their btc sell their bitcoins. I agree with a buddy up here... USA it's just one country and as we know, they don't have so much power to push Bitcoin down as we're outsiders but the coins and the power is in our hands (I mean the mining and the power sources to maintain the life of the coin). Also, this forum is close to the genesis or Bitcoin and the majority of users aren't americans. So fuc* if Trump or any other person supports or not Bitcoin.

also today it has been proven that price has gone up based on this single event. so far the hype alone was effective now we have to wait and see what the real action would bring us.

So Trump is president and BTC is going up 2-3% so far today,but price is already in declining and it is around 725$.What would happen in case of Hillary Clinton victory we can only guess,but probably nothing much different than what we have now.The result of the election is possible used for this small pump,as always someone has profited.

Dollar was supposed to fall but is rising at a very very fast speed with the exchange rate of EUR/USD going from 1.12 to 1.0955 as I am writing this reply. At first I thought the same as philipma but now I am not sure, maybe Trump can be good for bitcoin no matter how ironic it sounds.

this one seems to be more technology and economy friendly than others so that is why i hope this time we can see some actual grow in bitcoin adoption and some positive, non restrictive regulation so that maybe other countries follow!

I think we have the same opinion.  Besides, Pres. Trump just said "We will seek common ground, not hostility; partnership, not conflict."  And I think he will see bitcoin as a new opportunity or horizon to explore.  He is a businessman so more probably he will see potentials of bitcoins and take advantage of it.

I had a great feeling when Virginia went red. No one could have predicted that Virgina was going to be lost by the democrat party. I think this was where I was sure Trump had real chances to make a comeback and so he did, and suddendly all the polls went in his favour. The prediction went as high as 95% for a Trump victory.

As i also discussed this in other thread also, I don't think the election result is gonna make any kind of effect on bitcoin price. Yeah there seems to be some change(rise) in bitcoin price since the result but it can just be the usually fluctuation of bitcoin that normally happen. Unless Trump makes some kind of policy or some major announcement regarding bitcoin, i dont think the politics will affect the price of btc.

People react to the market volatility, but the price will adjust itself in the long run. Even if the price claims after Donald Trump won yesterday, this morning the price decrease.

Dude look at the graphs. Bitcoin started rising right when Trump was announced to be the next president of the United States by a high %.

Yeah I (along with the cryptocoin world) see and have figured 25 factors for a strong price jump.

We all know that  even if every factor I see belongs  that there are many more factors that I (we the cryptoworld) don't know.

I still come down to this The USA owes tons and tons and tons and tons of money.  Mostly to China.

Some of Trump's biggest business moves have been restructuring of debt.

For the USA to do a 3 to 7 trillion dollar debt restructure with China  Trump is the guy to do it.  I kind of think this more then anything else is why he got in.

I see this a big move for BTC  so hold your coins. I am.
