Current price jump has nothing to do with Trumps future presidency. Why do you think this is connected? If someone has a proof or theory please explain this. Chinese are deeply involved in Bitcoin price and they can affect it a lot but not the Trump. At least not at the moment.

The Unated States is the third number by bitcoin users. How can you know that Trump hadn't any connection with that? Maybe he and his people are investing in bitcoin this days and that provoked the prose to rise. Who knows?!

Maybe it really has nothing to do with it, I agree, but as for the theory it can be the one explained above or sort of the opposite. Many people (especially, influential and prosperous ones) didn't vote for Trump, so maybe they believe his residency will be no good for USA and USD. That's why now they might buy some more btc, because it seems to be more reliable to them.

Well, I don't have any numbers, facts, or significant relationships to base my opinion on....But, I think the whole global economy is in a giant bubble....There's too much speculation and not enough hard core information to justify the upward trends in my opinion.  I'm betting that there will be a major shift in the economy soon, so if I were a bear, I'd come out of hibernation and start looking for some shorts....(BTC @ 900 right now)

many are very pleased with the price increases that occurred recently. Well, even I was also very happy with this increase. but, a very fast rise, sometimes making bitcoin prices become unstable. meaning, perhaps very fast bitcoin prices rise, and has a high price. I think bitcoin prices will drop again after this, but I did not expect it.

Actually, there was an effect, but it's not exactly about trump. It's been a long time for us to find out what kind of american you want. This is a lot of investment in between, maybe it might be his fruit. If we think about it in terms of our advantage, it is good for us to rise.

And now the price of bitcoin is > 900 $ , it's the first time ever . since trump be the president of USA the price of bitcoin is grow up  Grin i hope it will be over 10k $ in 2020 .

i think its not because of trump become the president of USA, but many people now have using bitcoin for many reason, we don't know for sure but all in all, we are happy with this price and we hope the price can reach more high.

I somehow think that there is a connection, but this is just my speculation, when trump elected become president all the stock price become down and that makes dollar become weaker and because our currency exchange is dollar its making bitcoin more expensive, but for now the price is up because there is so much transaction before Christmas, not because of Trump

It can be said as not only elected but he took some good steps which are giving benefit to bitcoin and more over my calculation is if it is due to Christmas then we can see withing 1 or 2 days heavy selling dump because of everyone will be in need of fiat currency so they will start selling bitcoin to encash in fiat and enjoy Christmas and new year
Looking at the market already I'm quite wary of what is actually going to happen once we hit the new year, and, to be honest, a dump soon after Christmas seems to be one of the most likely scenarios, assuming that there isn't a sudden dump now, brought on my the small slide we've seen.

Current price jump has nothing to do with Trumps future presidency. Why do you think this is connected? If someone has a proof or theory please explain this. Chinese are deeply involved in Bitcoin price and they can affect it a lot but not the Trump. At least not at the moment.

i think bitcoin cannot be effected by such kind of events. as bitcoin to not belong to a single country, it is decentralize currency, therefore it is not so easy to be effected by the victory of any president of a state or any other event like that.

how did you come up with third?
according to trading volume, it is the second. and according to "real" trading volume it is the first.
also according to number of services and businesses accepting bitcoin it is still the first. if you check the number of full nodes it is up there too.
and this rise as i said it before is mostly because of Trump victory and his support for bitcoin.

Trump is a businessman. So I am sure that he must have heard about the digital currency, even if he is not sure about its advantages and disadvantages. But still, it is almost impossible to predict his policy towards Bitcoin. If he is not very knowledgeable about the currency, then he might have to depend upon his advisers to shape the policies regarding BTC.

The shocking news of Donald Trump’s election victory rattled markets across the world, leading some investors to seek refuge in assets outside of stocks and bonds. The price of gold surged, as it usually does during times of uncertainty, but it wasn’t the only asset to benefit.

The cryptocurrency bitcoin also jumped to a recent high of $738 overnight, and was trading at around $726 on Wednesday morning according to Coindesk. That represents around a 3% increase from the $708 mark that was yesterday’s bitcoin price and this is all according to Fortune

I'm the only one thinking that It has nothing to do with him winning the elections ? because If it was the case , price wouldn't turn to what it was before.

The victory of Trump has nothing to do with the rise in bitcoin price as other factor could certainly influence the price. However most market were falling immediately after the win of Donald Trump. But the reverse was the case for bitcoin. Just before the election bitcoin price reached nearly$740 thereafter the value stabled at $705  and  suddenly jumped to $739 after his win. Thus, lets wait and see after Trump's inaugauration in January if he will accept bitcoin...

I am also convinced that the victory Trump had no effect on the price of Bitcoin. At its price is influenced mainly Chinese miners.

Trump is not strong enough to influence the price of Bitcoin. In fact, the price run rich cryptocurrency holders. And ini located in China.

Why do you even revive an older topic like this? I mean, it would be fine if you had something useful to add, but you're just rehashing everything that has been said before....

Granted, there's a slight possibility that you just don't speak English well enough to fully portray what you're saying, but from what I'm seeing, you're just a sig spammer.

then why Bitcoin price has fallen significantly in a few months after the election? Logic and the link between these two things there. Trump does not affect the Bitcoin
