The price will probalby rise again after the fourth fork. If not then after the fifth one

After the hard fork solve the problems, the price could rise again. It is possible the whales are accumulating.

The price rose quite a lot from the recent bottoms. The previous drop was caused by a hacker dumping the coins.

but I still wouldn't call it a "scam".

The ETH dev team is working with other companies and other projects like Augur, and they are coming up with some really cool ideas.
It would definitely be a much better play to increase the uses for this coin and cause a big increase in price, rather than dump your coins right now.
(If you work for the company and own a lot of coins.)
The project still has so much potential, there would be no reason to abandon it right now.

ETH classic is not doing much better either. If the bailout was the fatal flaw, ETH classic should have flourished and ETH classic should have died a natural death.

However, there still might be some small pumps along the way, but the general trend should be down.

Ethereum's technology is going to be replaced in the future, just like Litecoin. This just proves that the best technology doesn't matter, the reputation and the long track record of a cryptocurrency is what does matter.

Not true ETC was flawed by the fact ETH whales and DEVS held so many coins as well as the ETH engine being shit to begin with. But it's one redeeming factor was the movement that made ETC to show their Distain for mutable chains.

that is a terrible advice. because if you don't believe in ETH you should absolutely stay the hell away from ETC too because that is the fork and its survivability is even worse than ETH.

besides all coins are separate when it comes to pump and dumps and ETC is getting more and more away from ETH and both eventually die with small pumps on the way down, so choose then only when they are about to get pumped and don't pay much attention to the name.

You might be right. If the ETC uses the same technology as the ETH, then if ETH dies, the ETC will go with it.

In fact it is difficult to predict. In addition, the current BTC bull market makes it very risky to invest in altcoins. I would prefer to hold Bitcoin or, if I had more conviction regarding positive results with altcoins, I could include some alts in my portfolio, but in more limited quantity.
