It's normal situation for South Korea, nothing special really.
They have such demonstrations very often, about many different issues.
Honesty ind integrity are very important for people there.
if they feel that some top leaders luck such qualities, they will demand that this person leave office.
Main issue here is not that Korean president break some law but that she is under influence of some cult leader and people don't trust her any more.

It happens to any country but South Koreans are very proactive that if they have no trusts to their they can express their distrusts on the streets anytime.It is their rights to demonstrates,its part of democracy.
