Two of India's largest denomination banknotes were scrapped on Wednesday. The five hundred rupee and 1,000 rupee notes can no longer be accepted by businesses across the country. There is interest, but this interest is for the wrong reasons. People are trying to see if bitcoins can be used for tax avoidance and money laundering purposes. If anything, this will make the government even more suspicious about Bitcoin.
