I used to mine bitcoins a while back, but recently decided to start again with litecoin.

Guiminer and litecoin-qt.exe for some reason will not read the litecoin.conf file.

Keeps telling me over and over that it needs to be read-only and i can't think what basic simple thing I'm missing...

Any ideas?

No the file properties says its a .conf file so that part worked, its set as read only.

Do I have to move the litecoin client to the data folder %appdata% roaming\litecoin
