With my far-too-large Federal Tax Return, I've decided to make a Bitcoin mining rig:

What I had laying around:
Mobo: ASRock 970 Extreme 4 (Had it laying around)
RAM: 1x4GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 (Have 4 of these sticks actually)
CPU: AMD Phenom II 4-core @ 3.4Ghz (will probably underclock once I get the machine put together)

What I bought:
Case: Rosewill BLACKHAWK-ULTRA http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147157
PSU: Coolmaster 1200W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171055
GPUs: 2x Gigabytes Radeon 7970 Ghz Edition http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125439
"HDD": Generic 8GB USB 2.0 drive

Software:
OS: Headless Gentoo (I'm not very experienced with Gentoo, but I think I can do it)
Miner: CGminer 2.11.3
SDK: 2.7

Since I haven't received any of the things I've purchased in the mail, I don't physically have this put together, nor do I have anything on the USB drive as of yet. Anyway, I've got a few questions:

Will it (theoretically) work?
What did I do wrong?
Since Bitcoin mining uses GPU, could I host an Apache server on the same machine with no significant loss in Mh/s?

-Ought to work, not sure if CGMiner supports Gentoo though.
-Nada, think you might have overdid it a bit on the PSU, but better to much than too few.
-Theoretically yes, how it turns out in practice... Most people setup their bitcoiner to run, and never touch. Having an Apache server on the same server... What happens if somebody start attacking your Apache server... Your miners will most likely go down too. (if you just wanna use it as an internal site, you should be good though)

I was playing FFXI (It's an MMO) on my computer while I was mining on it and only lost 5% or so MH, so I don't think you'll have much trouble with Apache.

Thanks for the feedback. I've never done something like this before, and I want another brain to process this because I usually overlook details.

I think I can limit Apache's available resources once I care to learn how it's done; My first priority is getting a functional miner and some benchmarks.
After that I'll throw-up Apache and set CURL from a seperate machine to put different amounts of load on the rig/server to see if it effects hash-rate at all. I'll be sure to post my results in case anybody else wants to "dual-use" their machine.
