Can the Avalon's or Butterflies be used to merge mine with the other currencies?

IIRC, you don't even have to mine BTC with them. It can mine any SHA-256 based coin.

oh wow so you can direct the miner to the most profitable coin depending on market and diffuculty as long at it's SHA-256.

Nope not that easy i think...

you'd have to reprogram the firmware aception work from other cc. Equals writing a new bitstream Smiley
