I was just dicking around on the 100 richest Bitcoin addresses, when I found this: https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/19PPeuu4jPjqtefSQ2FDgKmNJ88Z5wiuJtI can't understand. This guy bought 10000 BTC, and then let them there, and OK, an investment for the future. But then you see there's dust and dust and more dust added to this address. What could have happened here? Did he buy some cloud mining scam and put automatic payment to this address? Just curiosity.

It be a dead address e.g. But then you see there's dust and dust and more dust added to this address. What could have happened here?
Nothing of any importance. Why is this even a question? Almost all of the answers will be pure speculation. This is the standard dust spam with or without public notes. Nothing to see here. Did he buy some cloud mining scam and put automatic payment to this address? Just curiosity.
Nobody can answer this question unless there is exact on either or both of the addresses.

The small transactions coming to that address are probably not from a cloud mining scam or anything like that as the time or dates of those transactions has difference of months and i don't think a scam cloud mining site would keep paying until so many days.

LOL I think they are curious also to that address that they sent the said amounts. Just for fun maybe, and since this got our attention also. Maybe the owner let it sit their, just to hide his stash in bitcoin. Hope he did not forgot his private keys.

I think it could be a rich person or a group of investors who speculate on the price of the bitcoin to make a nice profit. You can see for a period of 2 years the account was holding 10k to decrease to almost 3k, then come back to almost 8k in the account. I think it could be a legitimate account of only one person who have the opportunity to make an investment of couple of millions of dollars.

Lauda is right no one can give you the correct answer for this question its purely their own opinion unless the true owner is here and have evidence that he owned this address from a signed message I guess.

When i saw the particular address , i assume that wallet might be abandoned or lost already hence the transactions is just steady and those dust , i dont know where they do come from even on small amounts which is somehow a mind boggling thing. No one could answer this .

A lot of people use small amounts of bitcoin to send to famous addresses to troll with signed messages, or as a tribute. In the mtgox address there is a lot of trolling and calling out Karpeles, and for example in satoshi's original address a lot of people send messages like "thank you satoshi" or whatever.

Thank you for info I understand the notes, but why would people waste money by sending it around in dust? They do silly attempt to ask for donation or trying to make their projects be seen by bitcoin holders, this always happens to well known bitcoin addresses or bitcoin addresses in richlist like this one. But i really doubt they will have any success by doing this, they will only loss their dust amount.
