How did you discover bitcoin?

An office mate introduce me to it saying that he invested into something just like stocks but not really a stock and its value is increasing rapidly. He sent to me a link of an online wallet and then during that time I was not really interested on it. After a few months, I read a news that its value is increasing that's why I decided to research further on it and then that is the start of my bitcoin journey.

Yes Someone refer me to sign up in bitcointalk.org, and said only to post in the forum or I can ask in the topic just I make sure it will be related in the conversation in the forum.

I know bitcoin started with a blog. there I read how the person can be successful and get a monthly income greater than bitcoin. From there I became interested in studying the bitcoin. until now I have always been grateful to the person.

I was using a prepaid credit card before, but they quit their programm.
Searching another way to make online payments that did not involve any of my usual crads, I found bitcoin.
It's really that much better than the prepaid card I used before!

I was buying a video card and reading about it on a forum and it interested me.  So far so good.

I am into paid to click sites and upon clicking an ad. Bitcoin advertisement pop up so I get curios with it because it is just like an advertisement that the forex does. So for me, they are just the same scheme and most of them are scams. But upon googling it, I went fall here in forum and by keep on reading it gives me an interest to go deeper.

Same with you.. i was addict with pay to click.. i am patiently doing that daily when an advertisement about the other pay to click website appear. I tried to click and sign up to that website. I have read terms and condition and the mode of paying thier members was through bitcoins. So ive got confused what is bitcoins. Then i create my btc wallet, and since i do not know how to use it i make my own research.

I discovered bitcoin because of the internet. No one told me about it in real life. I just look up online ways to earn money and bitcoin is just one of them. There are other ways like microtasks and all but they don't pay that much. When I discovered bitcoin, gambling was mainly what I was doing with it. I also tried some HYIP sites because I thought it was legit since it's on the internet and people seems to trust websites like those.

a couple years ago, apprx. 4 years, I was home and trying to find a game to play after a hard and busy week. So While I was watching a gameplay video, I decided to look comments about the game. There was a comment chain about bitcoin and the discussion was very fierce. I didn't quite understand what was all about and searched web for bitcoin. My English was not that good that time, and I know very little about finance, currency etc. So I couldn't get any clear idea.

So for sake of curiosity, I created a wallet. Then I started to collect some bitcoin from faucet. It was fun. The faucet gave me 1 bitcoin for every turn.

I can't quite remember how much bitcoin I collected that night and the following day. It was about 100 bitcoin I guess. But as I said before, It only fun back then...

Now I have a wallet, but have no idea where is it.  

Isn't it quite strange that you came to know about bitcoins when faucet was giving one bitcoins means a lot back and you joined this forum now. Please can you tell us which faucet exactly was one the one that was paying such high ? because I have never heard something paying one bitcoins just for claiming.

I discovered bitcoin thru a colleague who is earning bitcoin thru signature campaign. So I also tried it and that proves to be a good move to try and trust bitcoin. I earned a lot and learned a lot about bitcoin and trading.

Here's my story:

I had a spare Android phone and wanted to do something to it. So I googled about things/projects/fun stuffs I can do with the phone. One of the results I got was about using Android phone to do "calculations" in return for "money"... That's how I learn about bitcoin/mining. Of course the article I read was already 1-2 year-old, and I wasn't able to do meaningful bitcoin mining with a phone then- the difficulty was only about  50-60 million...

Lol, I laughed read this one . I know that he was mistaken mentioned got BTC1 for every turn and earn 100 bitcoin, maybe 100/1000 Satoshi.
I remember my friend told me about bitcoin, then I was looked for information about it and end up in faucets which wasting time.
that's how I got into bitcoin and create blockchain wallet for claim those faucets.

My friend were encouraging me to join in an investment program in fb and you need bitcoin wallet to start with. so i created a wallet and started to be curious what you can do with bitcoin then i gain knowledge through here and by watching videos in youtube.

I know bitcoin about 2 years ago.I was browsing on a forum & some one post "how to earn from bitcoin".The Op giving a refer link to us & that was a faucet site.I tried to earn big but I couldn't.Then I search on Google "how to earn from bitcoin" then I see this forum.And after that I totally become a bitcoin earner.

I was joining a PTC site when they starting accept bitcoin as payment option, that was the first time i embrace bitcoin,actually i didn't have any choice since my paypal account was locked so i should use bitcoin in order to withdraw my balance, but iam suprissed that it is very simple i don't have to provide my details and document for verification purpose, then i knew that it also used as an investment tool how lucky i am, found bitcoin.

Actually  these  kind of  question is  already  been  asked  how many times  on this  forum. Back to  topic,  I do  discover  bitcoin  because of some  hyip sites  that  i saw on the first time  which  is  really too good  to be true  high returns  but theyre  only accepting bitcoin as  a payment . So  what  i did  is   search  on what  is  bitcoin then i saw  that  its  a digital currency  being   used on  online investments thats why  i got  interested and then engage with it until i  found  out this  forum.
