ebay does not accept bitcoin because their deals are not pre set and it will depend on the sellers to take the risk of price variation while at usd everyone will get the same price and at same critaria for everyone

it has to do with the buyers taking the risk not the seller, in fact it is known that paypal protect the buyer and bitcoin not, and this is the reason why ebay like paypal and not bitcoin, but i think they should come up with escrow like with purse.io and then it will be possibile to use bitcoin on their platform

Its true that eBay does indeed loves to protect its buyers, but there's no harm in giving Bitcoin a trial. Ya the idea like purse.io escrow is what's needed to give it a boost. I do hope they do it soon.
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Ebay could implement bitcoin, but they would have to create their own escrow service for transactions. It could be a viable alternative if they charged 1% on bitcoin transactions, instead of 3% through Paypal.

Bitcoin will never be used by ebay, they make too much money from paypal. Also, like other posters have mentioned, chargebacks will be more difficult.

For a long time I have been reading that it's China who controls the Bitcoins market. 60-80% of sellers on eBay are from China. So my question is why don't they accept payments in Bitcoin and why they insist on the paypal only? Shouldn't they be changing according to times? Or they can't change due to regulations?

because paypal one group in company from ebay
so ebay promote to payment procesor paypal, so only use paypal can support payment in ebay

100% true and will be as long as bitcoin can and is a competitor the no ebay wont. Paypal is not owned know by ebay but I'm sure it still prefers paypal as it main payment gateway.

It doesn't matter if 100% of sellers are from China.  If those sellers don't use bitcoin, it doesn't matter.  I cannot imagine the adoption rate of bitcoin is anywhere near even 10% in China.  And Ebay is a US company that apparently doesn't (yet) like bitcoin.  Has a little something to do with them owning PayPal, which, even though they're now separate companies, are still very much intertwined.

Maybe someday we'll see bitcoin being used on Ebay.  I have offered it as a payment method a few times while selling things, but everyone seems to like PayPal just fine.

Paypal will remain the preferred payment method because it gives them more control,
and the ability to collect fees twice.
(Once from item being listed and again when its paid for.)

Some reasons behind lack of eBay bitcoin adoption:

1. PayPal is owned by eBay - and both these companies are not here necessarily to make world a better place but to gain profits.
Introducing bitcoin payments on eBay would cut their profits rather substantially (sellers are paying fee: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction).

2. There are more than 192 million PayPal's accounts active worldwide. Meanwhile bitcoin is used by less than 10 million people.

3. You need chargeback option on eBay. Bitcoin is not giving you that.
That summarizes it, Paypal was made for ebay, so anyone wanting to do business on ebay needed  to own a Paypal account, that was how the millions of clients came about. Now that bitcoin  is here and breaking borders, it present a threat to Paypal, so it is not something they are willing to consider in a rush though they are mindful of the potential bitcoin holds for ebay.

Not having the ability for chargebacks with bitcoin, is not a major issue, because a well structured escrow is well able to take care of that.

The issue for Ebay becomes whether or not they deem it valuable to design a decent escrow system and if they will make or lose money off of having it in place. There comes a point where having the ability to charge back is a far easier solution than designing a perfect system to get around the flaws. While I agree with you, form them it might just not be feasible.

Yes, its never been used for paypal but as bitcoin getting more popular for several years we could not stop the possibility that they may adopt the way that bitcoin may applied to their form of payment. In business of online ebay earns money from customers online and how can this ebay business owner refuse if many of their customers using btc suggests them this type if payment transactions. If i were the owner of the business i won't hesitate to plan an implementation regarding this transaction using btc because you can do possible things on business when it comes to profit.

I think that's about the problem. There are not many people who really want to pay with bitcoins on ebay.
And nearly everybody who would like to pay with bitcoins usually can pay with paypal as well. From ebey side including bitcoin payment is just not economic.
When you ad the problem with refunding, I really think that we will never see bitcoin as a payment optin on ebay.

EBay as a global shopping service provider has been in collaboration with various payment processors to get attention of most people around the globe. But till now it has not officially started accepting bitcoin payment for shopping purposes. Only very few traders of eBay has started accepting bitcoin which might grow little by little.

Buyer protection this is what they offer to their clients, this is the reason why they do not accept crypto currency and of course we all know that paypal and ebay used to be sister company and paypal has something against crypto currency.

I guess they consider other buyers that not all are bitcoin
users. Though, we know china controls bitcoin but not all
people adapts it to use. In ebay, i think they dont have
bitcoin payment as they consider for general buyers.

I think it has to do with chargeback, chargebacks are there to protect the buyer and the buyers love it, bitcoin in the other hand switches the power to the seller so I think if the sellers want to incentive the ebay users to buy from them they will need to offer discounts with bitcoin, and I don't think they are prepared to do that.
