The reason is obvious,  Because sooner or later bitcoins price will increase and its going rapidly,  Many of us are predicting that bitcoins price migjt go $1000 some time in 2017. So one should buy bitcoins as soon as possible.

The Bitcoin exchange rates are extremely volatile. The exchange rate was $1,200+ per coin in December 2013. In 2014, it was mostly in the $500-$600 range. Then after a few months, it nosedived to $230-$250. During the last 6-7 months, the exchange rates have appreciated by around 200%. But I am not sure whether the momentum can be maintained in the future.

Let's suppose that you're one of the unlucky ones that chased the market and bought at $1200 per coin. It's pretty obvious that if you sell right now, you're going to lose money. The most effective way to earn here is to hold your bitcoin, the more you hold it the more in increases it's value but that's not easy as like you said the price may go down and that think that it's normal in the crypto world but as long as you believe bitcoin will rise you are fit to hold.

Have you not read what you quoted?  It said that people who invested when bitcoin is at $1200 is yet to have their ROI instead they are still at a lost.  Its been more than 2 year, going 3 years and these people have yet to see their ROI in terms of bitcoin price.  I do not agree that the best way to earn in bitcoin is just simply by holding it.  You are lucky that bitcoin price increase outweigh the depreciation of fiat currency, else you cannot see your money growing while holding bitcoin.  And successful entrepreneur always said to invest, and holding your investment will not bring you profit because at the end of the day you have to sell it to reap the reward. it is successful trading thru buy and sell will make your investment grow.

I dont think that this is the right time to buy bitcoins as it is going right now in high price we can see little more high in price but my view is december first week we can see the selling pressure as most of them will be going to Christmas holiday so they will start to reap the profit by selling it that time we can see the buying price

Agreed, altcoins are much more volatile making them better for quick trades. I'm sitting on my coin like I was sitting on my oil shares back in the day. Stability in your wallet brings stability in your mind. Peace of mind is the most important, therefore you cannot put a value you on it by conventional means.
