Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

CGMiner works quite well with Ubuntu, esp if it's just for FPGA usage.
But besides that, you might have other issues to worry about. I know Tom went off the deep end months ago, but are they even still selling those Modminers?! I'd be surprised if you get it at all.

That seems to be about his bASIC thing that he had going on. There is a whole fiasco about that business. Not to say it might not carry over to the FPGA orders, but from what I have been reading he might still send me my FPGA to regain some face and keep his business. Correct me if I am wrong. He seems to be still shipping FPGA's
Where do you see that? I asked you about him. And to answer you just from what it seems like; he is trying to save face over the bASIC fiasico. So do you have any solid evidence that he WONT ship me my FPGA?

You seem to have a lot of information about Tom, especially for someone who doesn't know anything about the product itself, asking the same question about what OS is best supported in 4 different subforums.
