How much would you have now if you bought btc instead of your first smartphone?

I'm so glad I bought that phone!
I think it was a moto g, and it got out in November 2013.
I bought mine in december 2013, and at that time bitcoin was at its highest point so far.
I do not know exactly how much I paid, but the bitcoin price at the moment is still beyond the price at that time.

But how much is the phone worth now?
And In 2020  how much will the phone be worth compared to a 1-2 btc?
It's a good example to buy btc sooner rather than later!

The phone is worth not much anymore.
But I was able to use it for about two years until I got me another one.
If I bought bitcoin at that time I might still have them, but I would not have been able to use a smartphone for two years.
In general I think the example to compare bitcoins with smartphones is chosen a little unfortunate.
A good for use can not be compared to an investment.
Things you use always end up with little to no worth in the end, while investment should bring more than you put into it.
I am still glad I bought that phone, no matter in what currency I paid for it.

I have bought my first smart phone in the end of January of 2014. As I know bitcoin that time was costed approximately as today, around 700$. So with simple calculation I wold have like 0,15 bitcoin in the case if I would spend those money for bitcoin instead of to buy the new phone.

I got my first phone before bitcoins came on the scene but I was getting a replacement phone around that time(2009~2010) an iphone 3G am sure I would have been sitting on over 5000 bitcoins by now

It's such a regret for me to realize this late! Only if I have known bitcoin earlier than i had bought my first smartphone then probably I'm rich right now. 
Technology is changing fast from time to time. Gadgets are no good investments because as each day passes by, a new gadget is being launched and the older ones become obsolete. The price of the gadgets are dropping as it becomes obsolete. But if we invest in bitcoin for sure our money for now would have grown already. But then I had made my choice in the past . For now, I'm doing my best in bitcoin.

I bought my first smartphone in 2013, when the BTC exchange rate was around $15 per coin. I paid around $90 for the phone. So if I had purchased Bitcoins instead of the phone, I would have had BTC6 in my wallet right now. In today's exchange rate, that amounts to $4,500.

geez i bought Samsung Nexus S and the price is $529 (16GB) but today the value is increase by three time from the time i bought and its $1,574,219 (16GB) and i should have almost 4 btc right now. its really sad but i should take it and still continue to reach that amount in middle term.

Even though such sites give us some humorous insights, it always gives pain for not doing such things like investing in bitcoin. I am an optimistic so I always find some positive thing and I think we are yet in initial stage of bitcoin and hence we are going to get most of the benefits in the long run but the only condition is that, we should keep going.

A better amount yes. But we have our different reason here. What if I say I enhanced my knowledge in bitcoin thanks to my smartphone. Then I did a better choice right?

It's a neat idea but I think Sony phones are missing from the list so I had to cross-check with similarly priced phones from the included manufacturers and it seems I have missed on around $6,804,947 USD   But I have spent much more money on the pre-Windows Nokia phones and I guess if I had invested that money in Bitcoin instead I would have probably had more than $100k today

Only if I can turn back the hands of time I would and also if I had been exposed to Bitcoin then, probably I would have taken a different decision then, My first real phone was in 2009 and at time was valued at an equivalent of $100. Only if I had known and put that in Bitcoin maybe I would have been rich now. I wont check out the website. There is no need to add to the sorrow already...

Heart breaking. I just realized i dont need to buy new phone now. Thou im about to buy for bitcoin purposes will still not to do due to this.i will still this phone as long as its working good in bitcoining. Will just invest or stock the money in my wallet knowing its value will definitely getting bigger soon.

I think I have my smartphone around 2013, and BTC was @15 dollar. I bought it at aroung 120$, If i bought bitcoin that time maybe I have 8 BTC or roughly 6 BTC

Its ok there is no exchanges on my country at the time

I can't find my old smartphone that still working, but I don't use anymore. My old phone is a HTC One. Also, I can't find my actual phone LG G4 on the website to have a comparison on the actual price in bitcoin.

What happened to me was actually the vice versa of your statement. I recently just bought my new smart phone for $200 and all of that $200 was basically all from my bitcoin earnings.

Can you imagine, if you bought Bitcoin instead of ALL the phones you have bought? I had a ton of phones starting with a Nokia 3210 which

was launched in 1999.. but I only bought it in late 2000. Someone should create a site like this, where you can add all the phones you bought

I took my smart phone recently, but by the year 2008 one of my friend bought a mobile phone at a rate of around $400. During those days if he had spend the same amount on bitcoin now he could have been a billionaire without doubt, but now he's just on a normal day dream.
