hey guys,

do i lose a lot of speed when i run a 7950 on a older strike extreme motherboard?

Nope, even PCIe 1x is fast enough for mining.

what kinda psu do i need to get for 5x 7950 you think?

80Watt for computer
5x 180Watt for HD7950
10% extra
= 1100 Watt at least.

Not if you know how to clock/cool, Also depends on If you want to BTC or LTC mine? Litecoin is memory intensive, Bitcoin is GPU intensive.

i know how to clock/ cool them, the rig will be in the basmet atm i thik it is there like 5 to 7 degres c.

so the one with the fastes gpu clock speed then thx

Basically yes, There all around 800MHz core with 1792 Stream Processing Units, Memory amount and speed does not matter, You can easly clock down the memory by 50% to save some juice and heat.
