Hey! Anyone here mining any different coin but ZEC or ETH?

I'm mining a lyra2 coin atm (Zoin) and a cryptonight coin (XCI). I've mined some ZEC but I don't like mining coins that are well-known.


Which algorithm would you prefer for 280x/7970 matrix?

Hit me with some of your unknown coins you think should get more attention!

i like spreadcoin, while this is not unknown it offer some profit for low end farm with few rig, there is also xcn but you need a private miner which can do higher hashrate than the open source one

ETH, it's not popular for me now, I don't mine and don't trust it anymore after their so many hardforks. Now many people is mining and talking about ZEC and it's 5 day that I am mining it. For me it isn't so much important how popular it's now because I still prefer mining coins that are popular ( I'll never mine only dogecoin and litecoin ).
Also I can say that DashCoin isn't bad for mining.

But you're only looking at the value of  the coin right now. That's not how you make money from cryptos, trust me.
You make money from cryptos by finding those diamonds that blooms after a few weeks and the price goes up 300-400%, don't say that never happens because I've experienced it many times.

If the coin stays unknown it will never be worth anything.

With unknown coin I mean coins that have potential, that have good devs but got in the shadows because of ETH, zec etc etc.


The community must have changed a lot the past 2 years, back then everyone tried to make a coin great. To be the new LTC, Doge almost made it but failed because it was based on a meme.
Blackcoin got pumped and then shit on, but had potential.

We know what you mean but alot has changed since 2013-2014. Back then you could instamine any shitcoin and you had like 5x profits than mining LTC/DOGE directly.

However right now there are 10x as many shitcoins and most never make it to any exchanges. And those that do are either POS that you can't mine or they have huge difficulties because people instamined them on Nicehash.

You need to understand that there have been so many scams with altcoins that left so many people burnt that most don't bother with them anymore.

If you do not have the ASIC, it is better not to mine the Dash. It is not GPU mineable for long time. You will lose money.

Pretty much any x-series based coin and quark as well- these all have asics on em and they won't do you any good. Sticking with ETH or Zcash is the safe way to go as of yet, most other coins won't net you a penny in profit. Many other coins are also risky, and you can lose a days worth of profit in them. I like to go safe instead of risking it all.
