I sold BTC many times with OKCoin. But now I have a real problem with them.

ok 10th november I ordered 22k USD from okcoin.com to my bank account, and they STILL NOT SENT WIRE TO MY BANK.

they told that someone sent money to wrong bank (wrong SWIFT) and now they not have my money, so they not send money to me, to my bank details I made the orders.

The status for the withdrawal is "SUCCESS" but they cannot send me a proof of payment (SWIFT COPY).

So for the moment I lost 22k usd with them! and I call this is a scam if they work such a way. 


I want to warn all bitcoin users that you can get a big headache with OKCOIN.COM


all that they say is just wait.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

For now this may be not a scam, it's just the information how OKCOIN do business and customer care rate.

If money not come till the end of the week I think I move this topic to  Scam Accusations section.   if moderator can move the topic - do please. as I don't have premission to move it.

Why don't u use reputable exchanges, located in the US or Europe? That way there s someone to talk to in case you have scam accusations. This way, well, you can only hope they fix the issue themselves. I do not think you have any other option. Really sorry.

If they are saying they may send you money when they will receive the refund for the sake of their reputation. However it seems their worker have done mistake with bank address and make you wait for so long which is really bad practice and also if they were really concern about your situation they should send you payment from their capital which they don't seem to be doing for you.

Keep updating, hope you will get those payment but thanks for making other aware about the real scene behind okcoin.

They already acknowledged that it was their mistake, so they should own up to that mistake. I am actually amazed that they are not

reacting much quicker to this. I hope one of their employees will react to this accusation, so that we can get the other side of the story. This

should not take this long to resolve.  Huh

what the OP is alluding to is that the mistake was not the customer.
so OKCoin should just send funds from okcoins reserves to the customer immediately after realising the error and then okcoin can settle their own internal mistake with the other swift as a separate matter at okcoins own time internally.

not making the customer wait for okcoin to get a refund.

usually if your a multimillion dollar company that made a messup, you just send a new request to the correct destination straight away and then sort up the mess behind the scenes without inconveniencing the customer.
EG
day one: cause a mess up
day two: realise the mess up and send funds to correct destination apologising for 'admin error'
day three: handle the mess up separately over a month, behind closed doors
day four: customer receives funds after 2 business days, only one day late due to a messup
day thirty-three: okcoin gets reimbursed for mess up, behind closed doors

not
day one: cause a mess up
day two: realise the mess up inform customer has to wait giving bad excuse and no intention to remedy the fault asap
day three to day thirty-two: give customer more delay excuses
day thirty-three: send customer funds to correct destination
day thirty-five: customer receives funds

Wow! It is a big money and they should do everything they can to settle this important issue. Maybe the site is not yet a scam but just having a technical problem in sending the money to your bank account. For legitimate businesses, the concerns of the customers should come first as the customers are the lifeblood of any business. Any doubts/problems unsolved can boomerang on a site's reputation especially in the online world we are in.

One day passed, nothing changes. They told they are investigating with the bank and that they have details by tomorrow.

Damn, that is a lot of money to lose if they don't pay you back. I hope you get your money back OP. They will probably help you out now, since you posted your problem here on the forums. Today OKcoin told that they sent us wire, but not provided proof of payment yet. So I hope tomorrow we will see some real changes.

We received wire from OKCoin. So they are not scam, but it took for 15 days before we got the money.
