I just feel that the tsunami in Japan few years ago just happened yesterday, and now again the big earthquake happen in Japan.
I wish the best for Japan and all people there get a better things.

I heard this news last morning and they have a Tsunami Warning. I am worried because we have relatives there but seems they are Ok after they chat on Facebook. Last tsunami disaster in Japan caused great devastation. Hope and Pray they are OK there.

I remember the last time they were hit by a massive earthquake. This tragedy is wayback 2011 also well known as "Tohoku earthquake". Wayback March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 quake triggered a tsunami that killed an estimated 29,000 thousand people and damaged some nuclear reactors. This earthquake is the largest ever recorded in Japan. Now, They were hit again with a magnitude 7.4 earthquake, which was felt in Tokyo. I know people already know the aftershock of this and I'm sure that they already evacuated. May God protect each one of our brothers and sisters in Japan. I know Japan is a strong country and God is with us always.

Japan is constantly bombarded by a tsunami. Atomic power station designed for it. Last time something went wrong. This does not mean that the Japanese have perfected the security system.

What is wrong with nuclear energy? It is one of the safest, cheapest and cleanest forms of energy available (i.e if the proper safety precautions are followed). At least they are much safer than the coal-fired thermal power plants. Every year, close to 1 million people die as a result of the pollution from the thermal power plants.

Not really. It depends on many factors. As you surely know, here in Italy we recently had a 6.9 magnitude earthquake, 299 casualties to date. Of course Japan is years ahead in seismic damage prevention and protection, and here in the old continent we're talking about buildings made of bricks and mud at least 300+ years old.

That being said, I sincerely hope that the Japanese people won't have another 3/11/2011. That was a real tragedy that caused an incredible amount of damages and, most dramatic, losses of lives.

Good thing that the expected tsunami was not a major one and did not caused any damaged just like what happened years ago. Tsunami as a force of nature can be so devastating that it can claim many lives and properties. Hope it won't happen again but in the face of mother earth forces we can be helpless.

Yeah the japanese are a resilient and hardy people and they deserve respect and admiration. If we could just emulate hownthe japanese work with things and their attitude. I've also seen on tv the tsunami and i really admire how the japanese people prepare for these kind of disasters
